The Vanderbilt Postgame Report

Well go live in the past. Maybe the fans will start leaving at halftime like you predicted. As long as we win I don't give a care in the world. I could hope and wish that we had Maymon back but we don't so I deal with it. If you don't like the team NOBODY is forcing you to keep watching. You keep talking about entertainment. We could have a bunch of scorers averaging 70+ a game but if we aren't winning does it matter?

We are not winning now but maybe we can win at Arkansas and get on a roll.

Not when they start getting into activities. Unless you mean home to watch the replay on the DVR.

Yea, didn't think about that. I have 2 under 3 years, so we hang out at home. I actually haven't seen many entire games because they are usually around kids' bedtimes and dinner. But DVR does help.

That's not winning "now"...duh.

I don't think when people have this type of discussion, they are talking about each individual game.....we are 11-8.....that is not winning now. Even Wade Houstons last season, he won "then" five different times LOL

That would make sense if our record were below .500 IMO.

Well he doesn't score and the good thing about Trae is that sometimes he will score 14-17 points.

Lopez never scores and never even tries to score and that is what we need most.....scoring.

I think we need somebody that can feed Jarnell, and will be determined to do so. Lopez showed that he will do that. I think he can probably facilitate this offense more effectively than Golden has. Although he is inexperienced, and that could rear its ugly head at some point for him. Let's hope not.

We need Josh Richardson to shoot more in my opinion. He leaves offense on the floor every night. He's too good of a mid range shooter to be taking 3 shots a game.

5-22 does not even remotely come close to 11-8. Houston had 2 winning seasons and 3 losing seasons with a combined total of 65-90. If Martin has near those numbers after year 3, it's time for a change.

Wasn't the comparison I was trying to make.....Martin is twice the coach Houston was........someone stated that he didn't care what style we played as long as we are winning.........I don't think anyone considers 11-8 winning......if zo does prove to be a big time winner, noone will care what the style is.

I don't disagree. I'm not happy being 11-8. However, I also know that other deciding factors have led to that 11-8 record. Some people put it 100% on the coach though instead of taking into account injuries and the like.

I agree. If this team had Maymon and a normal playing Golden, they could easily be 17-2 now. With their limitations offensively, we're probably lucky to have an overall winning record.
