Nice cherry picked stat? It is what it is. Were UT fans not talking a lot of smack to UF fans before the game this year?

So the stats don't mean anything when they don't benefit your point of view? OK.

I agree, it is what it is, a cherry pick stat in which I explained why. Probably should follow suit and do the same other than changing the argument midstram because it doesn't float your agenda.

As for talking smack, who cares? One team wins and the other one loses. Should Tennessee fans say nothing when a large collection of low IQ jort wearing, mullet sporting morons pop off at the mouth on a Tennessee message board?

Besides, historically we have enough success to say whatever we want to short sided uneducated nimrods who think NCAA college football started when Spurrier came to Gainesville.

Not really.

That argument is about as strong as me claiming you pat boys butts.

He does pat boys butts :birgits_giggle:

Edit: ^that's supposed to be a giggle emoticon. For some reason it's showing up like a creepy smile which was not my intent.

Let me tell how bad it is at Vandy.
They are 7-4 and you would think they are going to a BCS Game. This is as good as it gets in Dore Land.
Let them enjoy.............at the end of the day.......they are still Vanderbilt. :hi:

Who changed their argument? This thread is about Vandy fans talking smack. They won, they can. UT fans are being whiney bit%hes about it.

Vandy, UF, UT, Bama, etc....fans are fans. They're happy when their team wins and bitter when their team loses.

C'mon man...don't defend Vandy.

The two series aren't even in the same ballpark. We've never played Vandy to decide an SEC Championship...

A Vandy loss to Wake Forest might be the shot in the arm this team needs! There's a lot of swelled heads in Nashville now!

one of the worst jobs in the country. They think we will be lucky to land David Cutcliff or Al Golden. One guy that calls himself AnchorDown01 gives these 3 reasons why we won't land a top name coach:

1. UT is no longer a Top 25 program. Therefore a name coach will not come. They will have to settle for a second tier head cacah.
2. UT facilities are already the best they can be. Therefore there are no enhancements that would make UT more appealing to recruits.
3. The cupboard is bare. All the money is gone. Therefore UT will not pay the $4 million + needed to attract a name coach.

LOL!! I'm gonna laugh when Franklin bolts soon.

I think he has it all wrong.

When has Vanderbilt every out recruited Tennessee.

Where would you rather live and play ball Knoxville or flood Ville.

Ut could buy Vanderbilly if they we looking for farm land.

Their just havenÂ’t gotten over their euphoria of one win in 29 years.

I can see Franklin boltin from Candy. His stock is rising and he's aware that Candy can only go so far.

Tennessee has the ability to hire a top tier coach. Hell, I think with the right hire we could be in the top 25 next year. I'm not sayin top in the SEC, but there's no reason why we shoundn't be able to bounce back to a top 25 team.

Well Vandy can have their win...time to move on ...who cares? like the UK loss last year...I don't care about these outrageous streaks against other teams like UK, except for maybe one...it is time to quit losing to Alabama...Of course you have all seen what has happened at bama since our program has been down.

After trying different "bryant tree" coaches alabubba woke up and offered a guy $4m ( now making $6m(?)), we know the rest of that story. Now is the time to offer the right guy 4/ $5m, to avoid slipping into irrelevancy .
UT needs to take the necessary measures to preserve a rich tradition that has taken years to build. We are at the crossroads. Patience and diligence ...please!! :twocents:

Based on the last 2 hiring processes we cannot argue. It is going to take UT making what is considered "The Hire" to show that we are back in the football business. Otherwise, we sound like Alabubba a few years ago recalling championships that are from decade(s) ago. Go BIG or go HOME!

I had to listen to Vandy fans bullshat all freaking day at work. I'm ready to start winning again. Vandy fans are funny, one win and two bowls in two years and you'd think they were a powerhouse or something. Buncha nerds!

vs one win and no bowls......let them squawk. They are soon to be irrelevant again. With Arky and KY looking for a coach this year and AU next year, Franklin is not long for Nashville.

The only reason why I would say it is an unappealing job is b/c of the following reasons:

1) The traveling that is required to recruit. There is a reason why we have the largest recruiting expenses in the nation. Takes away a lot of time from family, etc.

2) Comparing the difficulty of recruiting (b/c of in-state talent, etc) versus the expectations (regardless of the fact that we play in the toughest conference), the odds aren't in your favor to succeed like they might be at other big-time programs.

Gang, just for the record, it's 3 games in 31 years. 2 in Nashville (82 and 12) and 1 here in 05.

So the fact that I live in FL means I'm a closet UF fan? Gotcha! What year did you graduate from UT? I graduated from UT in 1994. Nice try on the closet UF fan thing? Get a clue.

This. Franklin's win over UT will be noticed even though UT sucked this year. Back to back bowl seasons at Vandy is nothing to sneeze at on the college football landscape. He'll be gone soon. The money will be too big to pass up.

Big name coach and 2 winning seasons the recruiting will get a lot easier. And oh yeah, all those Candy commits for next year from in state, we get Chucky and see if they all stay.

It gets easier no doubt, but you can finish in the top 10 in recruiting and still finish #6 or #7 in the SEC... And my point is that to even break the top 10 in recruiting requires a lot more time and effort at UT than it does at Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, etc.
