I don't think Gruden cares about how it happens. I would think he agent is telling assistants to go out there and spread some stuff.

Look at the reaction he is getting (over 64,000 views on his thread alone)

Something like VR is posting spreads like wildfire. I'm just saying it's a thought, and kinda what I think is going on.

interesting that Zook said on a radio report that Gruden called him at 3 :15 this morning. Kind of lines up with the late night meeting that is being discussed....

Okay, first of all, what I want most is for the Vols to hire a great coach who wins us many championships.

But beyond that... I really, really hope VolReporter turns out to be a 12-year-old home-schooled girl from Topeka with poor supervision and excellent Google skills.

There is no question that this person is NOT a legitimate reporter. If it were so, the actions here would be compromising not only any source he/she may ever have had, but further, he/she would also be putting their job in jeopardy.

Further, the suggestions and claims that have been made make it pretty obvious that he/she has no real clue how the actual media industry works.

Well like I said if u look back at his posts most all of them have come true the next day or so when he said they would. I don't think this guy just keeps posting to get attention. I wish his posts were separate each time he makes a new thread so I don't have to sift thru the bull lol

most of me says this guy is a troll, but some of me says this guy is putting in way too much effort to be trolling us, at least thats my opinion

funny thing is, all the reports im getting/what im hearing from the media says the meeting was broke off lastnight that why hart didnt fly out lastnight...and hearing it was gurden who called it off...so what did hart do now?

So whats the status here? Did any info come out of last nights so called meeting with Gruden as VolReporter promised, or did it just turn out to be BS?

I know this will be a surprise (considering people were reporting Gruden was signed before Dooley was even fired)... but nothing came out of this. You're being strung along.

I want to know what is happening just as much as anyone. Just resign yourself to knowing that you won't know until, well, you do know. And that won't be until a press conference is held.

I don't want to get pumped for a Randy Shannon and then end up with a Sal Sunseri.

I know a buddy who is cousins to a friend that knows Grudens barber. The man likes the black angus burgers that Gus makes. He is coming to UT per this source.

Actually it's just the opposite.

Reported we met and offered Gruden on Black Friday. We would know something within 3 days. Didn't happen.

Everyone important flew out to play golf with him on Sunday in Tampa. He was in Phlliy when reported

Gruden supposedly resigned from ESPN on Monday. Came out on Tuesday and explained that his job status was solid.

I bet there's more!

You only believe him because that's what you want to hear.

I think he's using others screen names to back him. Everyone that believes him has a low post count.

The ironic part here is, had either Wilcox and Sirmon stayed or Shannon been hired, Dooley would very likely still be the HC. It's almost like the old adage, "If you're going to make an omelet, you've got to break a few eggs."
