The Walking Dead

Ok, I have an advantage bc I work around the machines and they break down a ton. So unless you have wifi for updates/patches and a few engineers around it is not going to be running this far into the apoc. Hell getting one to run for six months without maintenance is a miracle. That's why it's so ludicrous, and the fact that's one of the machines they chose to keep.

I was trying to figure out where they were getting the electricity. Didn't see any solar panels or batteries. I guess they'll show us later. Also, those work on AC power but I suppose they have battery back-up but wouldn't work plugged into a DC circuit. I guess like most stuff isn't explained by the show.

I really had no problem with them magically running into an OB but the US def made me laugh

As long as you understand why you're the ONE guy laughing in the room. :). Fuel specialists are probably guffawing every episode these vehicles run efficiently with aging gasoline.

I have a musculoskeletal ultrasound machine that was originally designed to withstand the rigors of being an Army medic. I have had it for three years with not one single glitch. With one of my transducers, I could do that ultrasound. If they had the unit I have, all they would need to do is find one…

With that being said, it was kind of funny.

I understand, but that was a full on/diagnostic US with film. Just found it odd of all the things to have they saved that. But hey, there probably is a fully functional pac man around somewhere

I guess you think you could write the show better, you should probably stop watching, its a zombie show let it go...:)

Well that doc was OBGYN... So US machine would be very high priority. The guy Rick killed was their biomed engineer . :)

Good filler episode!

Wut?

This was the most forward moving episode in awhile. You don't just introduce another walled community in a filler episode. Or lay the ground work for an upcoming war with yet another group.

I enjoyed this episode much more than opening massacre at Alexandria.

If they stop watching, how are they gonna be able to come back every week to tell us how unwatchable the show is? :stop:

I laughed, also can you imagine him running out of the office when the zombies attacked? OMG, I've got to save this ultra sound machine. Why won't these four wheels all roll the right way!

That is a scene worth making a short out of!

For real, I like this half of the season but sometimes I have to laugh at it

I agree. In the same situation, I would probably grab some bizarre useless stuff as well.

Emergency kits or bug out bags are best packed prior to the fall of civilization... :)

As World War Zika approaches, you should ask yourself, am I prepared? :hi:

I'll take my Mac 3, Miller 2, and Glidescope! And a crap load of antibiotics

I'm sure this story allows for survivors to go BACK for equipment. Most probably ran. (empty handed) initially. :gone:

Sitting here stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, trying desperately to get to my son's track meet… A zombie apocalypse looks like a reasonable alternative.

:) (sorta)

Oh no I didn't see them. I guess it's plausible. If they had inverters they could have AC power. You'd need a pretty experienced electrician to wire and maintain those things. They are designed to work in conjunction with a power grid but I guess still doable if you had a smart electrician. Of course the house would need a rather large system and I didn't see any panels around it. A 2400KW AC system is about 5 ft. high and 30 feet long I believe. A 2400KW system could power one of those FEMA trailers fairly easily as long as not used for heating. A house that size would need about a 15000KW system. That'd be a lot of panels and inverters. Didn't see any around the house. I guess they were in back. In the Sun of course. Still doable but that kind of stuff gets glossed over.

I wrote those wrong 2400W and 15000W.

If I wrote the script for the show, I would have Negan bashing Daryl's head in with Lucille. What way to introduce a new villian by killing off the fan favorite character. Don't get me wrong, I like Daryl but his death would have the most impact to the fans and in the story. It would give a clear indication to Rick's group that Negan is a threat and is to be taken seriously. But the way "The Walking Dead" is written, it wouldn't surprise me if they just killed off a not so important character. Whether the fans like it or not, important characters have to die in order to keep the story moving forward. Otherwise, it's just unrealistic for everyone to be vulnerable during a zombie apocalypse.
