The Walking Dead

Doubt he was killed, but I think he did get shot. It looked like Dwight shot in reaction to Darryl turning around.

Daryl got shot as confirmed by Denise Huth on The Talking Dead. Shoulder wound I'm pretty sure. This must be where the Merle flashbacks come in.

Not looking good for Glenn.

There is no way that Daryl would sneak up with Rosita right next to him. No way that these survivors would be suckered in by one guy next to a fire. They would know that there is no way that one guy took Michonne and Glenn.

The writing has been bothering me in that it seems like there has been an almost complete loss of experience by the original group. I'm disappointed.

I don't get the deal with Carol. She leaves because she can't kill anymore, and the first thing she does when she leaves is kill a bunch of dudes. I like her character but this odd mental breakdown arc doesn't compute. And why would 5 guys attempt to attack an entire compound? I was hoping Rick would smoke Morgan during his circle of life speech. He was interesting at first but now he just seems really whiny. I've now begun expecting anyone in a quarter profile shot to take a bullet in the chest. Figured Denise was going to buy it on the tracks but not in the eye.

Also the 1911 Carl picks up looked like it had a club carved on the grips like the one shown in the finale trailer? I'm assuming on purpose but I wasn't sure what I was seeing.

Next week we get an additional 22 minutes or so of nothing. Yay

Lol for real and then we are going to have the biggest cliff- hanger ever and have to wait 6 months or so. I'm buying into the theory that someone major is going to die, but we are going to see it through their view, and not know who Lucille bashed in until next season. It's TWD way. They love their cliff-hangers.

I buy the cliffhanger but I'm betting it will end up some someone not so major. And a cliffhanger is going to be so majorly lame.

But we won't have to wait 6 months, that will be leaked by the end of May because that's when they start filming Season 7.

What a terrible episode. I started fast-forwarding whole scenes and the cliffhanger...

I have to say if that's the way the kill off Daryl that's pretty lame. I don't want Daryl to be off'd but I am also not one of those people that would stop watching the show if they did kill him.

They are screwed either way bc the way they staged Glenn's death earlier. If daryls dead, that's a poor way to end it, if he's alive, just another failed gimmick

Daryl isn't dead. If they didn't kill off Glenn when it looked like his guts were being eaten, they aren't going to kill off Daryl with a vague gunshot at the end of the episode.

It's so stupid to me that a show with zombies is so fing boring and then the show that comes on the next night about a fool-hearted lawyer has me on the edge of my fing seat. Better Call Saul is the best show on the network and just makes TWD look like it was written by some nickelodeon writer. It's embarrassing really.

BCS is written by Vince Gilligan is why.

That's because Vince Gilligan can write better blind-folded with his eyes closed and both hands tied behind his back than TWD writers can.

That and the cast of BCS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TWD.

sorry, completely missed this. i actually went back last week and did a comparison of the number of Saviors killed in the show vs the comic. Funny enough, they have killed roughly around triple the amount of Saviors in the show over the amount in the comics. Show wise, I estimate about 40 (about 37 before last night, but i can't remember how many were killed last night...possibly pushes the number above 40), comics, it's around 13 or 14. definitely gives way more incentive to kill more than 1 main character.

just to update, we're now at roughly 45 Saviors killed.

ratio wise, 45 Saviors: 1 Denise.

wow, for a group of notoriously violent and fierce extortioners, they sure are pathetic when it comes to defending themselves/fighting other humans/walkers, save for maybe Dwight.

at this rate, Negan better have another 500 soldiers at his disposal, or there won't be much of a fight to be had.

Daryl isn't dead he was just shot in the shoulder.

Now some people are freaking out because they've heard Herschel and Dale are in the cast of the finale on IMDB. You can't trust IMDB, it's burned many a WD fan in the past.

As for the cliffhanger theory... We haven't really had one from TWD in a while. While I don't outright agree with it if it in fact involves a major character it does help ratings and makes people talk.

The finale could be a blood bath. It looks like it's gonna be wild.

Minus commercials, you will most likely have 55 mins of blah and 5 mins of actual story, action. The last 90 min episode was a snoozer. You really only get like 12 mins of actual extra showtime

What exactly do you consider "a while"? The first half of the season had the Glenn crap and the midseason finale was a big cliffhanger. That's 2 this season and they just did another one with Daryl.

Daryl isn't dead. He got shot in the shoulder after Dwight tells him that he'll be fine. IMO it didn't make sense to fake Daryl's death at the end of the episode unless it was a foreshadow of his real death when he gets Lucilled by Negan. That's unlikely since Glenn came back after his fake death. I do agree that the episode was mostly boring with very little action. However, I do like how they set up the characters being captured in different moments by the saviors. It gives the audience a reason to believe that no character is safe anymore. It also gives Negan a more handful of characters to choose from to meet Lucille. Let's just hope it's a big major character.

I would have to think that Negan plans on killing all 4 of his captives. He's lost a lot of folks to Rick's group. Of course, after the first kill, whoever that turns out to be, I assume all hell will break loose. It should be a good opener next season.

Why are so many of y'all so adamant/excited about a major character being killed by Negan?

What does that actually prove?

:hi:

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me it takes a major dump on probably the most iconic moment of the comic. Plus it would prove Gimple and company are FOS when they proclaim "no one is safe".
