I've seen a few people point out that Negan said "cut out his eye and feed it to his dad" but I don't see why he wouldn't say that while bashing his head in.

However, I think if it had been Carl then Rick would have gone after Negan and bit his throat out right before the Lucille landed it's first blow.

i can't make it out watching it live, but if pic hasn't been fiddled with, then that's a damn nice catch.

that said, even if that is the shadow of Carl's hat, I would still take it with a grain of salt. they did some damn fine editing in that scene to both/either make sure there were no visual clues to whom Negan killed and/or trick us into thinking it was a certain someone, and it's not like they haven't shown a blatant lie on screen before, to fool us.

also, kind of hard to make sense of Negan's threat about cutting out Carl's eye and feeding it to Rick when Negan is already bout to bash Coral's pretty little head in.

if Negan did kill Carl though, damn, that would def take some mighty big balls. I have a hard time seeing that though.
not sure how'd they replace Negan and Carl's unique relationship from the comics. certainly couldn't do it with another character.

IMO, yes. Kirkman did say that this certain character's death would change the story. Now if they decide to take Carl out, that would be Rick's breaking point then that's when All Out War starts to take place later on in the series. You can't be anymore brutal than to take away a man's son.

I would be pretty excited if it was Carl. It would definitely make up for the cliffhanger. Also, wonder if the whole scene between Carl and Enid was because it was Carl that got Lucilled? Otherwise, that scene was fairly pointless IMO. However, if Carl died it would make sense.

Is Carl as annoying in the comics as he is on the show? Can't lie, I laughed when he caught one in the face. But somehow he lived. I know he's important but he's so annoying.

This is a very loose definition of "cliffhanger", and nothing in the comic has been anything like the cliffhanger just seen on the show. Not all cliffhangers are created equal, and the way you're using it, technically every issue/episode/season ends on a "cliffhanger" since it's not the end of a continuous story.

Yes, but there is no way in hades it's Carl. You can't tell me Rick is going to let his son get killed in front of his eyes without doing a dang thing. He would get killed himself trying to stop Negan the second he said "it" and it was obvious it was Carl. Heck for that matter I doubt any of them would, Abraham, Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, all wouldn't sit there and let a kid, much less the kid of one of their closest friends and one they've been around for years get murdered in front of them.

No I'm not. I'm giving my opinion on what character's death I'd think would have the biggest impact in the story. I've not even read the comics but hell, the show doesn't exactly follow the comics anyway so the writers could change the whole outcome of the story if they really wanted too so it's not exactly an "spoiler". If the show went exactly by the comics, I'd doubt any of us would waste our time and watch the show. Also, I don't know anyone in this thread that has read the comics or not so I apologize if I spoiled it for some folks on here.

Yeah, because they always write the characters to do what common sense dictates...right? Don't put it past the writers of this show to do exactly that.

I am about 90% that it's Glenn with the other 10% being on Abraham. Glenn would have the biggest impact on making Negan the Alpha antagonist of the series just like the comics.

On a side note I really do like Jeffery Dean Morgan as Negan but I always pictured Henry Rollins as the perfect choice for him. In the GN every time Negan talks I just hear Henry's voice. I just think he would have made the best Negan on screen

It's going to be a awesome season 7, but watch the ep1 of season 7 be the 90 min backstory on the horse Morgan found lol.

That shadow if it's not photoshopped is completely dependent on the direction of it's light source. Meaning Negan could be in front of the person next to Carl and you'd see his shadow.

I don't know about you but I'm not going to willingly sit on my knees and let some dude bash my head in with a bat. If I know I'm about to be killed I'm making an effort to live despite any verbal threats. You'd likely just have to shoot me.

If you don't know who has read the comics then that is the essence of a spoiler. Just put in the tag or don't say anything. They most likely will follow that plot line. So the best thing to do is unless is posted all over the place in the thread is to not release comic material that's ahead of the show

I don't get how the horses get killed on this show. If you've ever tried to wrangle a horse with only your hands you quickly find out you're overmatched. And that's without you being undead. 1000 pounds of upset is hard to stop. That being said a black and white flashback episode of the horse's journey would be enthralling and also melt the Internet.

What I'd really like to see is an episode showcasing the survival story of a golden retriever named Shadow, a cat named Sassy and a boxer named Chance. Could be fun to watch them defy odds and cheat death all while having a hilariously fun time.

I haven read the comics in a while but doesn't Carl become the main focus of the comics along with Rick & Michonne?

That's why I find it hard to think its any of those three!
