The Walking Dead

Henry is all about her but isn’t she a good bit older? 6 years have passed which would put her at close to 20 while Henry is like 14.

This isn’t a FL public school.
There’s also no CPS. And the judges got eaten in season 1

Cohen was smart not to go all in on that other show.
The previews I've seen doesn't look bad and its 1st episode should get fairly good ratings as I think its going be aired immediately after the Oscars. It would have to get great ratings through out its 1st season to be added to the fall schedule.

Apparently she is teasing there is going to be a Maggie spin off.... does anyone really want that?

They missed the boat on all these spin off ideas. Popularity is waning and more shows are just going to water down the whole thing.

That’s Gimple’s doing. He specifically wants more spinoffs and movies....even though it’s clear the zombie craze is pretty much over for now.

Are they setting up solo movies for her too?

This latest episode was pretty decent. I got a good chuckle at Daryl testing which were walkers and which were whisperers.

Although once the element of surprise is gone I don’t really see the threat of the Whisperers. They don’t seem overly combat ready.

I don't think so, I think they are setting it up that she'll be in Rick's movies.

Honestly I didn't even realize it was returning Sunday night. I think I'm actually going to let 3-4 build up on the DVR and binge them.

The midseason premiere did a 5.16. That's almost the same as the midseason finale, and down over 3 million viewers from last season's midseason finale.

So while still good, I still don't get the idea that Gimple has all these movies and spinoffs planned when the main show's ratings continue to slide down.

The time jump reminds me of the FTWD change of direction two seasons ago. I’m bought in and interested in the storylines and character arcs. Course the former went full garbage after that season soooo?

So if Michonne is leaving the series in season 10(I'd say they do it in a way that she finds out Rick is still alive so she leaves to go find him), what happens to Judith's character on the show? She'd pretty much have to go with her.

Unless they do another time jump. Or Michonne leaves to look for Rick and leaves her behind thinking it’s temporary.

Rick Jr too.

I kinda like it better. Feels like it’s got a coat of paint. Still a lot of dumb but overall I’m more interested in what is happening again.

Most of the few shows I follow week to week come on Sunday. I watch them online Monday. TWD used to be first one. Now it’s last if not a Tuesday viewing.

Just finished up the premier episode of Lauren Cohen's new ABC show Whiskey Cavalier and I really thought it was very well done. Lots of action but also some fun witty banter between the leads.

I'll keep watching for now.

It's premier only brought in 4.7 million. It won't make it on a network like ABC.

Well they have confirmed a 3rd series is in active Deleon’s this.

Third Walking Dead TV Show in 'Active Development' At AMC

4-5 years ago this might have worked.

I just don't get this at all. The main show's ratings and interest continues to drop, and Fear already has had a massive drop in ratings and interest.

Seems to me if they are dead set on keeping the franchise going, the best thing would be to focus on the one show, not created a 3rd show that no doubt will basically be the same story just in another area.

I agree. Or just do their movies or even mini series of ONLY 6-8 episodes at a time.

Ultimately I think the high interest ship has already sailed. A lot of viewers that were hanging on out of habit took Rick’s departure as jumping off point.

I do like current direction. I like the medieval-ish setting. And it is kinda neat meating kids that have grown up in the apocalypse with no real memory of the past.

I said earlier it still has a lot of dumb that is there just to push the plot forward.
