If this is true, and by the way I could careless if he was armed or unarmed. But didn't Holder prosecute Navy Seals for busting a terrorist lip while taking him into custody?

DEVGRU and CAG operate within a whole different parameter of rules than regular SEAL teams and ODAs.

I don't remember anything about the initial reporting that night that suggested anything other that an order to kill Osama Bin Laden. If you have a kill order why does it matter. That kill order is for a reason.

There are at least 3,000 reasons I don't care if he was armed or not, however it would be nice to know if he pissed or shat on himself when the SEALS rushed into the room.

it's actually been their line the whole time. Capture if possible but killing was authorized

He said the decision to kill rather than capture bin Laden was made by forces on the ground, not by the White House, which earlier authorized the rehearsed raid that included contingencies for, but no expectations of, capture.

This is the assumption that every Soldier and Marine is forced to have upon entering any and every building. For the first guy in the stack, it's a pretty sh*** thing.

I am sure it is relevant in that they were most likely given a directive to kill him, or at least this was more than implied from higher. However, these guys routinely go into houses to kill or capture HVTs and often capture, instead of kill.

I can guarantee that if the directive was to capture and only kill if they have no other option, an unarmed bin Laden would have been taken alive.
