Really enjoyed season 2. I remember being skeptical back in 2018-19 when Henry Cavill was cast, but now I don’t see “the English dude who played superman” on screen, I see Geralt of farkin Rivia, 100%.
I’m not totally in love with Ciri being the center of every prophecy and plot point, but I do like the way they’re developing her character and her bond with “papa witcher,” to use my wife’s phrase.

I knew him way before that from Tristan and Isolde, he was the skinny little troublemaker. I was shocked he was Superman, and even more shocked he was Geralt. I wanted Hugh Jackman for Geralt.

But Cavil absolutely nails it. If you read the backstory on how he got the role, you’ll appreciate it even more.

Jackman would have been good. I read very early rumblings about Anson Mount as well.

I understand Henry to have played the Witcher 3 obsessively. And he apparently chose
Roach’s death scene this season.

Best show on Netflix. Leaves me wanting more. They leave a lot on the table as far as what they could do with story but don’t with an 8 episode season. Doesn’t matter… still want more

Think there's a lot they could do with it that they dont. Def slow at times. Love the action.

There are better shows. Not many, but, a few.

I really like Cavill. I thinks he's great in this show. I thought he was great in superman too. I was worried they'd make Ciri a witcher. I'm glad they didnt.

He was in showtime The Tudors and he was good in that. That's a good show too.

Loved this. Did not see the last twist, but then I have only played 1 & part of 2 of the games and haven’t read the books

I was trying to remember in Witcher 3, didn’t Ciri live with a royal family when Geralt went and got her?

Obviously this would have been much later than the current events of the show, but I can’t remember who she lived with.

I've never played the games or read the books so it is all new to me. I love it.

A'ight, just finished season 1 of the Witcher, am now in Season 2, Ep 1 (paused). Not trying to be snobbish/elitist, but, if I mostly just watch this to see the armor and occasional tavern scenes (and titties) ... why should I keep watching? Seems like, instead of actual plot, they just introduce more characters and places and make everybody else raise their eyebrows and say, OMG!

It will make more sense when you watch season 2. Season 1 was like an prologue to get you introduced to everyone.

Feels like they could have masked this by just having Geralt at Maximum Toxicity all season.

Geralt practically bleeding out his eyes from potions is how I inadvertently ruin every emotional moment in Witcher III.

Cavill is actually known to be a big gamer with his own built rig. Also a fan of the books. He fit the role well, and I appreciated the fact that he was into the source material. I just can’t see myself getting back into it. The main character is a hard pill to swallow.

Blah, they should've hired Jensen Ackles, but even if they had, my personal interest in the show would still take a nosedive. I hate when shows change the main character.
