Good for Cavill. I'm sure he sees what most of us can see with the direction of the show. With all the excellent source material they had to work with, the show runners still managed to make it generic fantasy schlock that was literally carried by the lead performer. It's a shame because now the intellectual property will be damaged goods, and will likely never get a fair shake as a reboot again once this thing crashes and burns completely.

From what it sounds like to me, Cavill likes staying true to the source material and he was a big fan of the Witcher series. People took his statements to mean he wasn't happy with where they were taking the show and that was why he wasn't coming back. Not so much because of Superman.

I don't know what's coming in season 3 but some are speculating it's not really true to the Witcher series, Cavill was unhappy about that, and said I'm out.
