The worst thing about 2 SEC teams in

SECCG was officiated quite fairly
The main officiating gripe I had from Bama vs Auburn was the running into the kicker penalty. If that wasn’t roughing then very little would ever be considered roughing. I agree with you from what I saw of the SECCG.

That’s not what I said though. Name a non playoff team better than Bama that deserved to go over them

Before Saturday I’d say Okla St, ND probably. Staggering around with multiple 6-6 teams with benefit of questionable calls didn’t impress me in the least. Now, after Sat, Bama does deserve to go but I’d have Michigan @ 1.

It’s clear the committee puts more significance in the last week that anything else.

I think Georgia wins in the rematch against Bama although I will be rooting hard for Cincy and Michigan

Ga has a better chance now that metchie is out. They can double Williams as the other Bama receivers don’t appear to be in the class of those two. At least not yet.

Metchie is a big loss, but Bama now has the benefit of a month of practice with Brooks as a starter.

I am much more concerned why anyone would think there are not quite a few teams better than Cincy. Best four teams my butt.
The two SEC teams are among the cream of college football.
Just so happens this is the perfect year to throw the underdog/little guy a bone. Make up call for the teams like UCF and Boise State etc that never sniffed it, even when close. This won't happen again in a decade unless the playoff is expanded. It wouldn't break my heart if Cincy went all the way.

Unfortunately they won’t. Bama will crush them but it would be a cool story if they won it all or at least made it to the title game.

So you agree AU got more favorable calls than Bama, had plenty of opportunities to put the game away but failed to do so.
I do. They should’ve put the nail in Bama long before that last drive. I don’t think the calls were egregiously in favor of one or the other but Auburn got a few more than Bama from my recollection.

But Bama is a much better team than OSU or ND. Like not even close. If Tennessee has Notre Dame’s schedule this year they would likely be 11-1

Is Sankey got his way. His scheme worked so the horrible one sided officiating will continue in the SEC next year for Bama and any one who can come close to a playoff run. Fairness is out the window again.

Yeah it’s clearly all Sankeys doing. It’s got nothing to do with how good Bama and UGA actually are. They are both just middle of the pack SEC teams whose conference wins were in boy because the SEC officiating was so bad.

Good grief 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Bama shows up to finally play a great game vs a team that really didnt HAVE to win the game to advance and BOT is licking Saban's shoes......
A game they didn't have to win? They lost the SECCG. That was a big game.

I’m sorry but I just can’t agree with a team having the opportunity to play for a national title when they weren’t even the best team in their conference.
The NFL, MLB, NHL, etc worked VERY HARD to develop a draft system and rules to help create parity in their leagues.

College has no draft/recruiting parity and SEC and B1G are the two major conferences in the sport. They draw the best players and play the highest level of college football.

Assuming the #1 team in the Big 12 is better than #2 team in the SEC is silly unless there's parity in recruiting. There isn't.
