The WRASSLIN’ Thread

So, I'm up late watching Collision(and Rampage tonight), as has become my custom. Adam Copeland vs Christian is getting dark awful fast. I question the booking of letting The Boys take that beating and Dalton not coming out.

HoB vs Gravity and Komander was a good match. Showcased the Luchadores and let Black and Buddy reinforce thier "sadism".

So glad to see Dante back.

I'm glad they are sticking to "House Rules" for Julia's TBS title reign. It's a crutch. But an entertaining one.

Big Bill cut a heck of a promo tonight. Ricky might be rubbing off.

Kingston vs Brody was hard hitting. It gives us place to start for that "triple crown".

I'll likely catch Survivor Series tomorrow. 1/2 suprised about Punk. I give him 6 months before he flames out or ends up on the shelf this time. WWE wants him for Mania, I'm sure.

I guess we known why Tony wanted to go head to head with A PPV tonight.

Honestly im kinda over Punk. His first run in AEW was entertaining but the drama BS was just silly. But I never ever thought for a moment he’d actually be brought back into WWE. So I can say I’m genuinely shocked. Itll be interesting if can get along with everybody lol

I recognize the "heat" Punk generates. I straight up can't stand him. But, Survivor Series being in Chicago, WWE's change in ownership, and the attention from his AEW turn... it's a perfect storm.

It's still a dumb idea, long term. WWE will get what it deserves by bringing him back, just like Tony did and Vince before him.

Not a Punk fan...but he puts behinds in the seats....in business that's all that matters...

So Ruffles might have sponsored Survivor Series this year.

2 good war games matches. I'd be kind of annoyed if I was Randy. Punk totally stole his thunder.

The rest of the card was good, but not great. Pretty good ppv all and all.

Gotta give Trips credit for hiding it so well.

My goodness. Did anybody read the comments in that thread? What in the world are these idiots talking about??? The best kept secret in wrestling ever? Lol. I don't know anyone who did not expect it. If you pay attention at all the hints were there and they weren't too subtle in the weeks leading up.

I thought it was the most anti-climactic reveal ever.

More hyperbole from wrestling fans jumping the gun when it comes to this. It was more or less expected because it's hard to hide things anymore with social media. The other funny one is that this is going to put AEW out of business because Tony supposedly did Punk wrong. I would think that people would want more wrestling, not less.

Not a 'rasslin fan for the most part, but I've always loved CM Punk. Back when he was running heel with Heyman was really the last time I watched WWE with any regularity, and it was always an interesting and fun show from week to week and PPV to PPV. My kid was young (like early elementary school young) and liked to watch wrestling (and had all the action figures) and it was a fun thing for us to do on a Monday night, which is when I got hooked on Punk. Tuned out when he left.

Now that he's back, I'm back to watching. Admittedly, I have no idea what's going on and was very confused with practically everything on RAW last night. But WWE hit a marketing goldmine with his return. I have to think there's probably a good number of folks like me that are tuning back in the for the first time in a long time just to watch things play out.

Did you not tune in when he returned to wrestling with AEW a couple years ago?
