The WRASSLIN’ Thread

From my experience, I never knew what it was that I had but about twice a year from the time I was about 25 (53 now) I knew I had some kind of thing. Doctors always said it was bad IBS. About twice a year I could not function or get out of bed for two or three days. I played baseball for 20+ years with it and missed several games when I had the flare ups. I just didn't know why. It puts you on your ass. I don't care how big or tough you think you are.
I remember Mamaw dealing with it when I was little. Once they figured out what it was she changed her diet, and I think started taking meds. I don't remember her having much issue after that other than having to avoid seeds and nuts. But, I was young and she never was one to let anyone know when she was sick.

Just watching Collision now. Three matches in and it's already blowing Dynamite away.
Andrade and Claudio started out with softest ass shoulder blocks I've ever seen lol, but boy it turned into a hell of match with a great finish.

Digging Skye Black haha. That was a good segment. Thunder Rosa is back!

Good international title match too. Bryan Keith is pretty good.
I think it's a little weird that Skye made up with Stat before joining Julia. Maybe they just want to be done with that.

I want to see more of BK.

So I guess Honor Club includes ROH PPVs now? I might have to rethink that.

I didn't even know she returned. My stupid TV failed to record Collison. She's one of my favorite female wrestlers out there, and it's cool to have her back. From what I heard, they gave the women a lot more time to have matches and promos. That's refreshing and hopefully the trend moving forward.

I think they can use the men and women both without relegating one to a single segment/match.

Why would it be a botch fest?

Because in my opinion they are the two worst wrestlers in the division. Saraya has injured three people since she has returned to ring action last year. Riho is not believable in any way shape or form. All of her moves are weak as crap and I'm always afraid she is going to break in half.

I agree. It was impossible to suspend my disbelief when they had her beat Nyla Rose. It was awkward looking. Every match of hers is like that because she's tiny. I think they're going for a fued between her and Toni which will be hard to watch.

I think Riho is tougher than she looks. But I'm with you on Saraya. She hasn't looked great since she has been back.

Fair enough on Saraya, she has a lot of rust after being out years. but Riho is awesome. I never get this “believable” stuff when talking wrestling. It’s wrestling. It’s basically live action anime. It ain’t that deep, for all I care Asuka could beat Roman and I’d be throughly entertained by it. Each to their own though.

There are just some people I can't suspend the disbelief with. Riho is #1 in that for me.

I can see that. She is tiny.

But, I always think back to Shawn Michael's vs Kevin Nash(Diesel) back in the day. The size difference was the same or more than anyone Riho has faced. Nash vs Hart was barely less of a diffrence than Riho vs Rose, and that's her most extreme size discrepancy in AEW. The whole size discrepancy being a problem thing is fairly new.

Who takes the Jay White vs Mox match tonight?...

The way I understand it Mox moves on in tournament whether a win or loss....
I'm guessing Mox wins. I think White should win. But they will likely want someone to be undefeated, just so they can lose in the final. It would be intriguing if Rush beats Swerve and we get a 3 way tie for the 2nd slot.

Looks like they are going to have a 3 or 4 way tie in the blue bracket. At least I hope they do. I'm going to be annoyed if Eddie put up those titles only to not make the Semi.

Eeeh, the fix is in its either Swerve or Jay White....

I wish Mox would go back to WWE, him vs Roman or Seth would be great...

Swerve vs. Rush was an odd match. The flow seemed off until about midway through. Correct winner though.

I could watch Lethal and Briscoe all night. That was a high level entertaining match.

Toni Storm calling Taz the human duplex machine was hilarious. Not much to say about Riho vs. Saraya other than I'm glad they are both okay.

Good spot with MJF and Swerve.

Roderick Strong and Kommander was good. Roddy cracks me up.

Kind of a surprise with White beating Mox. Decent match.

I still feel like Collision has been the better show recently. Even Rampage has been better lately.

I don't see it on the level of a Kurt Angle or Sting signing, but it will be interesting to see who it is. They've actually done well with the rebranding considering the financial situation compared to something like AEW and WWE so I can see them affording a higher up name.

I've heard Matt Riddle and heard Dolph. No idea though.

I really thought Swerve was gonna come out of the Gold league but I wonder if this Keith Lee angle is to set up a match at World's End.
That would make sense. I figure they want Swerve in the World Title picture sooner than later. Dude is to good and has to much momentum to stay on the midcard. They have Christian Cage for that. Swerve has "top heel" written all over him.

Yeah. I see Mox or White pinning the other, protecting Swerve and then he beats Lee at World's End.

I could see the final being Mox vs Eddie. But, I'm still betting it's White in the end. He needs a title. The triple crown would look good on his resume, and he's an obvious choice to "switch" hit with NJPW.
