I have to agree about things feeling a bit off with some of the matches. I enjoyed the Cage/Copeland match. A nice touch with the flaming table.

Well MJFs contract is supposedly up next month.

Joe generally has good title runs. I feel like this is kind of a last hoorah for him though. He's won major titles is every big American promotion now.

My guess is Swerve is next up though. That'll likely lead to him vs Cole.

I buy the theory he's already resigned. Would be a shame for him to leave.

Overall, weakest AEW ppv I've watched. If MJF isn't out, I'm really down on the result.

He's maintained the new contract he got gave him more money without more time. I don't think they would have done this if he was for sure coming back. They would have waited for Cole to be healthy to take the belt off him. I'm sure that was the original plan for tonight. But he got hurt again. So they will let Joe be a transitional champion.

The first match and the last 3 were great. Everything in between was a mess.

I think part of the problem was the match order. The three marquee matches finished out the show. Should have been spread out.
