The WRASSLIN’ Thread

Via PWInsider:

“The belief is that Endevor may want to make a clean sweep and remove anyone close to Vince and his remaining team”

If they do this, and they should in my opinion, hold on to your hats!

Who among us thinks that Vince hates that he sold out now? 🤣
So what does that mean for Hunter?

I believe that HBK and HHH would be safe. I think this would have more to do with Bruce. I don’t know if Johnny Ace ever came back to the company.

Basically the executives.
Prichard is boned.

I'd think Shawn would be fine. But Hunter is his Son in Law. Hard to believe he gets a pass, unless they plan to bring Stephanie back.

Well, I was wrong. 6 months was way to generous.

CM Punk Tore His Triceps During 2024 WWE Royal Rumble
If I remember right, didn't he tear his triceps in AEW a couple years ago? He came in WWE in horrible shape and the little time he was in the Rumble, he was gassed. It might have been a blessing in disguise because the match with Rollins would have been a carry job.

I wonder who they'll go with now to win the Elimination Chamber to face Rollins? I'm thinking Gunther or McIntyre.

Also,I'm starting to see why Shane didn't want anything to do with WWE in several years. He was distancing himself from the family because of everything going on, and wanted no part of it.

As far as Bruce Pritchard. Guys such a "yes man" that most ex WWE employees have called him out for it. I remember him being on Flairs son in laws podcast, and he would ask Pritchard stuff ,and Pritchard would give such vague non answers about anything that WWE did,and Vince was a genius. He's definitely a goner, and I think he's not finding another job. Johnny Ace goes without saying.

I saw another article that said he looked like an old man at the Rumble. I guess he's just going through the motions now.

Did Drew ever sign a new contract?

I'm of the opinion that HHH and Stephanie need to be swept out as well. In a situation like the company is in, I'm a believer you burn it down to the slab. HHH came up through that system, as did Stephanie. They knew. I'm convinced they did.

As for the product itself, I gave it my annual chance for Rumble and the following Raw.

I have a hard time pinpointing what's different that turns me off, but I found myself fast forwarding so much.

Seeing RR still with that belt....hard, hard pass. That angle is so overcooked now. Jake Paul? Pass. Samanta Irvin is not my thing. The rumble is usually a good time to get introduced to people I'm unfamiliar with. Those two rumbles...were not.

I did enjoy Steiner's kid again.

They have some good people, but its all buried behind the company style and production. I greatly wish the two big companies would/could trade talent. They could move 3 or 4 guys each and greatly improve both companies.

With that being said, I'd say that they'll go with Gunther, and Rollins dropping it to him at WrestleMania. Hopefully, Gunther drops the IC belt if that's the case. He doesn't need it anymore.

He could vacate it after Elimination chamber. Then do some kind of qualifier tournament or a pair of 4 way matches that lead into a title match. It protects Gunther and gives the new IC champ a big moment winning it at Mania.
