The WRASSLIN’ Thread

Really good show. I kind of like the chaos that is going on. You have no idea what is happening. Why is Mox and crew beating everybody up? It's every man for himself it seems. It's like they are trying to rekindle the NWO/DX days of you don't know what is going to happen next.

I thought Aminata looked great vs. Mone. I feel like Jericho beats Briscoe next week. Shelton looked like a giant compared to lio lol.

Love how they covered the Kip Sabian and Hangman botch lol.

Watching Collision after big Tennessee win. The opener with AR Fox and Ricochet is a really great match.

Fletcher is gonna be a fantastic heel along side Callis and Takeshita. We'll see if Archer and Cage can hang.
Hobbs needs to come back on his own.

Give me more of The Outrunners vs LFI.

Moxley's motivation is that he doesn't like what AEW has become. Which is based on his real life frustration he had with the direction the company went in 2023 with the brochacho stuff and becoming more sports entertainment in general.
Piggy backing off of this thought. I kind of agree. But I think it comes from the place where WWE is moving to Netflix in January and rumors are they are going to go back to a more adult oriented product akin to the attitude era.

I think that the Moxley group is a pivot by AEW towards that grittier, more hardcore aggressive adult style. I don't think it will be pervasive throughout the programming at first - similar to as it is right now for a while, but that storyline is going to stay around and probably grow next year. You've already seen it have a little more time allotted in TV each week.

But your comment made me start thinking that direction.

The biggest thing to come out of these shows is Takeshitas showing against Mike Bailey in night one and Josh Alexander in night two. I caught bits and pieces. They looked to have wrestlers from every fed from TNA to AEW to the indies. I saw Kylie Rae for the first time in ages. I'm rooting for D'amore to get this off the ground.

I watched Dynamite for the first time in a long time.

They're treating Moxleys crew like a big deal when most of the roster is armed with weapons awaiting their arrival. Questions as to Orange Cassidy and his loyalty to AEW or with Moxley.

Really looking forward to Fletcher/Ospreay after that promo with Callis involving Fletcher shaving his head saying he's nothing like Ospreay.

I really liked the Briscoe/Jericho ladder match except for the end result. Jericho has no need to be ROH champion or any champion at this point. I think its just a way to stay fresh as he gets older. I get a laugh out of the learning tree, but hopefully they build up Big Bill turning on him soon.

The women's match between Kamille and Aminata was a lack of chemistry and a little botchy.

The six man tag with Private Party and Garcia going over the Elite getting Private Party a title match was pretty good given how short it was. I still say the Outrunners should be number one contenders haha 😄

Overall a decent show. Not great but not terrible.

Wasn't a great Dynamite IMO. Most of the matches were not very good. Sammy & Shelton was good. THe main event was good in spurts. Otherwise, could take or leave everything else. I am waiting for the HOB to challenge BCC for the trios titles.

Another vote for Meh on this particular Dynamite. I'm invested in Mox and the BCC. But most of the rest of the show was just OK.

I hear Jerhico winning the ROH belt was about trying to let him elevate the profile of the brand while they look for a TV deal and freeing up Mark for the Continental tournament. I don't really like it either. But I think it makes sense.

A good episode of Smackdown tonight overall with the MCMG having two matches tonight winning the tag belts . I'm happy they're getting there due in the WWE.
