Middle brat has taken on a challenge, and started a job as a cna this morning. It was actually a suggestion from her dr, to get experience in a medical related field, and to see this side of it. She says she's going to still work for tj max, and she might, but I told her she doesn't need to kill herself. Proud of her though, tough job for a 17 year old to tackle, though she's turning 18 next week 🤣. Goid $ for her, saving for college.

What was it like in the 1940s?
True to the Volunteer spirit, so many men signed up for military service that UT suspended the football program for a couple of years. The war was won. The vets came home. General Neyland returned. American industry cranked up. Homes and cars were built. Innovation increasingly altered our way of life. The Knoxville campus provided continuity, surety, and the spirit needed for all of it.

This is not how I thought your response was going to be.
Thanks.
My papaw had some very interesting stories and insight from life in the 40s. Sure do miss him.
