Also I highly recommend the Crockett Tavern as a stop if your passing by Morristown the lady that runs it, is extremely over qualified, and you get a 50 dollar tour for 5 dollars if your into the historical stuff. Super informed, educated, and excellent "spiel"ologist (not to be confused with the cave people, I'm making this a new word...seprate from speleologist...) We ended up chattaing about Sgt. York, and the Rebellion in Bradly County, and the Union army underground, Why true Tennesseans agree Jackson was a turd, and non native, the fun of burning bridges and all sorts of East TN things, than exchanged info about shiners, and the best valleys for the best shine, and the associated families......rarely at a TN tourist trap do you get such an honest to God TRUE East Tennessean...... go test her knowledge I dare you! I don't know what they pay her but it isn't enough.

I visited the Tavern about 16 years ago. Very cool to walk in the steps of Davy Crockett.

It really is one of the greatest things about hitting *a certain age* (varies for everyone.) Once you no longer care about whether your looks/ actions/ speech/ behavior/ outfits/ beliefs fit some "you're supposed to be like *this* to make people pleased with you", it's pretty incredible.

x100,000,000 or so for women. Freedom.
