There’s still time

I’m not as upset about the loss as the way we played. Tennessee was explosive and exciting last year on offense. I know we’re missing Hooker but I’m beginning to believe that Golesh was a bigger loss than what we thought.

Defensively I didn’t think it was possible to regress from last year but damn if we didn’t figure out how to do it. I think the thing there that truly makes me madder than F is that we’re not only bad but keep trotting out #5 on defense. Who sucks and honestly is a poor reflection of our program by the way he acts on the field.

Then we have the “suspensions” on playing time but not special teams for certain players. I mean damn coach were you even considering this was a rivalry game in a place we hadn’t won in twenty years? You send that Oline out looking like a flaming bag of crap?

Then the late timeout to be an ass as well. Just a bad look all the way around
The late timeout shows Heupel does not give up until the clock hits 0:00. You can't win games that you are not supposed to win without this kind of moxy.

It does suck that we played without Mincey on the OL. Any gripe about Mincey not getting reps should be directed towards the player and not the coaches. The young man needs to be held accountable and do better going forward.

Our run defense definitely has regressed which is concerning. Our DL was not firing off the ball and causing problems for their OL. The linebackers had some good moments, but they had some crucial errors in stopping the run. The DBs had some decent plays, but the missed tackles and weak coverage scheme in the first half did not do them any favors.

Our offensive woes are multi-faceted, but lesser-quality personnel changes at QB and on the OL seem to be more responsible for our lack of success this year.

Here’s a question. If the South Carolina loss last year happens earlier in the season then are we thinking the season is lost like with this Florida loss? I mean seriously? Figuring things out at home the next 3 games is a huge advantage for us.

Good point but we really have one week to figure things out. After UTSA it is the cocks, Bama and A&M.

Really think the late timeout was more due to Heupel being pissed at our own players than trying to stick it to Florida.

I disagree about Mincey honestly. Yeah he’s to blame but you don’t cost the whole team due to one player. Suspend him for UTSA, run him till he pukes but you don’t half heartedly suspend him on offense and put your qb and the rest of your Oline in a lurch. We’re still not to the talent level and experience level to sit out one our best tackles.
