No.... with the effort given last night by one side particularly... we have no business in the playoff. Playoff teams give effort. Whatever the fk Banks put on the field last night was a total embarrassment. I would ask all the dbs to hit the portal or non renew. Go get me a bunch of kids from UTC or some other school that give a fk

Sadly, it won't, success breeds overconfidence in certain types of fans. They just can't comprehend that pride and arrogance aren't the cure, they're the disease.

Be realistic ---we've laid one egg after the other when the national spotlight was on us. The Georgia game was the " game of the season"---#1 against #2 and we choked. The truth is we've beaten some decent teams only by outlasting them. Florida almost beat us because of the porous defense. Missouri played us close till the 3rd quarter. Bama lost to us by a field goal. We went to OT to beat Pitt. Every team invited to the playoffs can watch game film to see how to beat us. We have not earned the right to go to the play offs IMHO.

We blew our chance last night and got totally embarrassed and beat down by a mediocre South Carolina team we would get trounced in the playoff not a team we would beat.

Cool story. Doesn't change the fact that we are still alive. TCU, USC, and Clemson all still have very losable games left.

My point was we don't blow anyone away, we squeaked by most of the wins like Florida and Bama and Pitt. Our defense can't stop anyone, so why would you want to get spotlighted at the end of the season once again on the national spotlight to show recruits how we blow games in prime time? If we played Georgia again, what do you think will change based on the secondary you saw yesterday ? Or Ohio State? Sure we may beat a TCU or Michigan, but not even sure we can beat Vandy with this lay down backfield.

Yet we are 3-1 with our primetime games (Florida, Bama, Georgia were all CBS games of the week).

So your notion that we are bad in the spot light is unfounded. Plenty of teams have made the playoffs and then lost big. That's never hurt their recruiting. It feels like Oklahoma does it annually.

If you don't think we can beat vandy, put money on it. Place your bet and post it all for us here.

Let me ask one last time= What did you see in yesterdays game that would lead you to believe that the outcome would be any different if we played Georgia or Ohio St in a play off? Our weak secondary is exposed for the umpteeth time. We lost to a 6-4 average team at best---no wait, we got embarrassed by a 6-4 average team.

So USC needs to lose, TCU needs to lose, LSU lose in Atlanta, Bama gets shocked by Cadillac, and Clemson loses in ACC title game to UNC..... Yeehaw.

Why would we limit ourselves to one game? I saw plenty in the Bama game that says we can play with anyone.

It's beyond ignorant to take 1 game and make the type of claims you're attempting to make. We'd beat the Maryland team Oh St nearly lost to 9/10. So this idea we'd just get blown out is baseless.

We have the win over Bama. Can't imagine they get in over us. USC drops 1/2, TCU 0-2, Clemson 1/2 and then I think we are in.
