Things Are About To Get Even Tougher For UT Recruiting In Memphis.

I've heard that Sonny has let everyone know he's coming back, but he's still shopping around for the best deal.

I'm nearly positive that's what Parrish was saying. And then he had Easterwood on bragging about what his role would be in all of this.

There's no doubt Easterwood will be Sonny's guy in Memphis. I'm sure ol' Keith is more than happy to tell everyone that, too .

Sonny is a Thursday regular on the Chris Vernon Show which airs opposite of the Parrish show. I would expect that this topic will be broached since Easterwood was gushing about it on the rival station on Wednesday.

After we win the NC this year.....Bluff City won't have a choice. ALl 5*'s will want to come to UT.

Anyone who has seen Bolivar knows that it is NOT Memphis... lol

There is a good chance you have seen it and not even noticed

Don't kid yourself, if Pastner doesn't start winning, there won't be near as many "I've grown up dreaming of being a tiger" statements coming from the Memphis players regardless of what KE and Sonny V does. If U of M doesn't pick up their game the players will be leaving town.

Pastner will start winning there again. They've got the #2 class in the nation coming in.

... and will continue to do so. Adidas will not let this contract go easily and NIKE doesn't "need" UT like Adidas does. Get used to the stripes

Although, I am in the camp that wants Nike. It'd be helpful to have that juggernaut on our side for recruiting purposes.

yep I sure would love to have a rep who views my university as a lower tier organization. Sounds great

True, but it'd be helpful, IMO, just for the fact that most kids this day in time are more gravitated towards the Swoosh than the Three Stripes.

This, Adidas has been losing this battle for a long time and we are one of the only BIG time markets they have left.

Everybody and their brother owns something UT Orange Adidas brand, if they live anywhere near Knoxville.

That's a hard thing to give up. And Nike has it's hands in so much that it would take putting a lot of money and attention into Tennessee to sway it away from Adidas...

I like Adidas, personally, Nike goes to far with it's crazy designs sometimes.

I can't imagine Orange jerseys with winged shoulder pads, but flat orange or black helmets would be sweet

Adidas has Notre Dame (football) Michigan (football) UCLA (basketball) Nebraska (football).

I like Nike better but Adidas does have some of the most storied programs on their roster.
