Things are not as good as they seem for LSU

The Big East team? National Champions next year, doubt.

What did you really expect from a team who lost the best WR in the SEC and the best (2nd at worst) QB in SEC? We have no depth because FR and SOPH were starting, not 2nd and 3rd string like they should have been. What did you really want? What would make you idiots happy? Do you want our 4th coach in what 6 years? That will really help recruiting.

Please go back to the WWE thread, where the inputs from those with room temperature IQ's like yourself are appreciated.

Just having fun. Wanted to see what it was like to be a negavol and freak out over every little thing that ever happens, but bleed too much orange to trash talk our own team.

Yea and you gave a weak comparison see the difference is les miles is a proven winner and its pretty obvious. Dooley has yet to prove anything

dbag police! Failure to win with a team of true soph, after coming into the worst situation in UT football history, will not be tolerated!

Lsu is loaded with freshman and sophomores that start what's your point? 48 of their 60 offensive touchdowns were scored by underclassman so when comparing our 2 situations all this tells me is Dooley and his staff can't evaluate players during the recruiting process

Since win is Les Miles a proven winner? It's not like the guy is winning at Vandy or anything.

Les Miles could take his true freshman and his practice squad and beat CDD and this UT team 3 out of 4 times. I have no doubt in my mind.

In his 4 years at OK ST, the only other head coaching job he has had, the guy averaged an entire 7 wins a year. How's the current OK ST coach doing? Taking over a great program from Saban does not equate to being a "proven winner"

That's funny because Les Miles wasn't winning a whole lot at OK ST. Now that he is gone, they are the number 3 team in the country.

The man has won 3 times as many games as he has lost over his career. Your point would be reasonable if he had only ben at LSU for 2-3 years now. He has cycled through anything that Saban left and has continued to win in the toughest conference. Noone in their right mind could support CDD as even being a shell of Les Miles.

Okie State was 13-20 the 3 years prior to Les Miles taking over. He went 28-21 with 3 bowl games in 4 seasons. I would call that turning things around in a pretty good way. JMO

Les Miles wasn't left the roster Dooley was. Yes, he has won at LSU the last years, well after Saban left. Still though, he wasn't rebuilding a program. He came in and won from the start because he had the talent. He has continue to win as a result of that. If you win, you get recruits, if you have talent you continue to win. No one would ever claim Les Miles is an amazing coach. As far as Dooley, the verdict is still out.

He went 7-5 his last season. He left Gundy enough talent to go 4-7 in his first season, and 7-6 in his second. Now in Gundy's 7th season he is 12-1. I don't think you can claim Miles had a whole lot to do with that.

Your arguement makes ZERO sense. CDD is a losing coach over his 60+ game career. Miles has won 3X as many games as he has lost over a 150+ game career. You can't be serious comparing these 2 and talking down on Miles and hold out "hope" for Dooley.

Gundy went 4-7 with what Miles left him? That is an arguement? Maybe Gundy was not ready to be a good coach yet? How do you know Miles would not have went 9-3 with what he left Gundy? Miles has continued to win as he has all through his career. Gundy could very well be becoming a great football coach. Some coaches get better, some always were great.

60+ games vs. 150+, that makes plenty of sense as to why I would hold out hope. Do you really think the team Dooley was left compares at all to the one Miles was left at LSU?

You tell me who you think should have a better winning record.

Coach A- who spent 3 years at Lousina Tech and 2 years at UT after Lane Kiffin
or
Coach B-who coached for 4 years at OK St and 7 years at LSU after Nick Saban left

How many years has it been since Saban was at LSU??? I don't think any kids that played for Saban are still there! Its been about 10 years.
