Things are not as good as they seem for LSU

How many years has it been since Saban was at LSU??? I don't think any kids that played for Saban are still there! Its been about 10 years.

I didn't say those players where still there, I said players were still coming there because they had won. You win for two years with the talent Saban left you, then you continue to win because talent continues to come into the program simply because you are winning.

Somebody is recruiting well and coaching well at LSU. I think all that falls under the direction of the Head Coach.

We are going to see the same thing here in a few years. If we win 8-10 games next year, we will be far more attractive to recruits then we are after this 5 and 7 season. Rebuilding a program is not exactly easy, and Les Miles has never really had to do it. That is why his record is so much than Dooley's.

60+ games vs. 150+, that makes plenty of sense as to why I would hold out hope. Do you really think the team Dooley was left compares at all to the one Miles was left at LSU?

You tell me who you think should have a better winning record.

Coach A- who spent 3 years at Lousina Tech and 2 years at UT after Lane Kiffin
or
Coach B-who coached for 4 years at OK St and 7 years at LSU after Nick Saban left

Not at all. I do think what Miles was left at Okie State would be similar to what CDD was left at Tennessee. Yes, Miles went 28-21 after state was coming off 3 bad losing seasons. To me, that points to Miles doing a much better job than CDD has.

I understand Miles has coached more games. My point is he has NEVER been a losing coach. You realize CDD would have to win like his next 100 games straight to have a similar record as Miles right?

We're recruiting well here too. The wins will come. Like I've been saying, we all said this was a 3 year rebuilding job from the day 1. It seems a lot of people forgot that.

Miles did have a losing record his first season. I also doubt he played the number 1, 2, 8 teams without his best WR and his starting QB in any of those seasons. Also, the record the previous season doesn't mean a lot about the talent he had coming back. If we hired who coach and he won 8 games next year, I would call him the greatest coach to ever live because we all know he would have a lot of talent coming back. What I am saying though, is that OK St has won a lot more without Miles than they did with him.

This is the whole problem CDD has not shown anything close to an ability to win 8-10 games in 2012. You have nothing to base that optimisim on other than hope. Your slanting your point to make an arguement for CDD. Les Miles took a Okie State team who was coming off 3 VERY bad losing seasons and turmed them into a winning team(28-21). CDD came into a UT team coming off a WINNING season under Kiffin and has had 2 losing seasons since. Tennessee was 22-17 the 3 years prior to CDD.

Coming off a winning season, and losing what 6 of his top 7 recruits? There was no talent on that team, at all. They also lost what 2 first round picks?

Don't forget about losing the QB, RB, and entire offensive line.

Coaches coach. That is their job. They are to field a competative team with the roster they have. Your looking for reasons to explain CDD losing, I understand. Some coaches need others to explain it for them. Some coaches just take what they have and go play ball, and win.

It's not the X's and O's it's the Jimmy's and Joe's. Quarles couldn't win if he were to go to a place like Campbell County, Saban couldn't win when he was at Michigan St, and Dooley couldn't win with the joke of the roster he had coming in.

With all this said, if he did fail to win 8 games (which he won't), I would declare you winner of this argument.

Alvin J. Yolkelsuck a 5*330 pound DT from Flagelancey LA. had narrowed his choices to LSU and Tenn. But with the impending departure of Miles and Chavis at LSU(heard on Volnation by an insider) he said he would probably and certainly maybe(if he can fit it in) visit Tenn, Bama, Fla, OLe Miss, La. Tech and NW Texas State. The Vols still have the edge since Spangler is more impressive as a defensive mind than Saban in his opinion..
Just thought I'd let the nation know. My brothers aunt has a cousin who is the brother in law of a custodian at the swimming facility so This info is 86.324% without question...

Nice!

As we all know Bourque decommitted today. They are about to lose the NC, and their recruiting class is slowly falling apart, and Coach Miles will be fired before NSD! They hired a guy who went 7-5 in his last year at OK St, what did they expect?

Lmfao..Bro they are not losing the NC game..They don't need Borque like we do. Never seen a college team with so much damn talent, ESP at RB.

how do you assume this when they've already beaten bama?

LMFAO at anyone dumb enough to not see the sarcasm in this thread, but more importantly anyone dumb enough to think that a Nick Saban coached team would lose to that clown twice in the same season.
