Ive never heard of a power company shutting it off - just storms or wind knocking it out - why woud they do that ? Just curious
Yeah, that Ive heard of that -- I thought Danl was in TennesseeThey have been doing that a lot in recent years in Cali during heatwaves that have high winds. PGE equipment has been the cause of some of the worst fires.
They will do rolling blackouts also when the grid is pushed to its limits.

Ky is getting hammered. Just taljed to my mom, her and my nephew are stuck about4 miles from home on the side of the road. Seceral cars are, and several have wrecked trying to get up the hill in the road.Hard to tell from this, but it is POURING snow here. Temp dropped 15+ degrees in an hour!
