Things I'm happy about today

Are we about to have the Arlington discussion again?

I missed that discussion but what's there to discuss?
After spending many hot and muggy nights watching the Durham Bulls, an air conditioned baseball game will be a new experience......kinda like using indoor plumbing for the first time in cold weather.

Had the interview yesterday and received an offer today! It's a lot to process and we leave for Hawaii on Monday for 10 days. I guess I'll be taking my laptop to the beach...
I'm happy my counter offer on salary was accepted with no further negotiation. Just waiting for the background check to be complete to get the final offer and start date.

Make sure you get a place with a guest room, cause I'm going to need a vacation soon 🤣

I'll be a supervisory engineer working to build networks for the Army in Germany.
Ah, awesome! My sister had an opportunity for a position in Germany right when shutdowns were happening. So I'm hoping she gets to go forward with it soon so I can visit. I appreciated it when she was in Italy for 2 years.

Hey, I’m with @rocytop2624 on this one. It’s your job responsibilities, not your educational degree.

My younger daughter has a JD, but she’s not a lawyer (discovered that she hated the profession in her last year, arrgghhh). Yet it’s still possible in some areas (as far as I know) to study under a mentor and sit for the bar.
