Things I'm happy about today

Vehicle - We got $250K limits for medical for un/under insured driver thru SF. This is essentially what they are trying not to pay/underpay (Why we got an attorney)

AFLAC is just supplemental insurance (hospital stay, cancer, and broken bone). In past 30 days, had to file claims under all 3 supplemental plans: Radiation under the Cancer plan, Hospital due to her infection, and the son's fracture for his leg.
I know she’s back home now - how is she feeling? Is she back to terrorizing you and any other idiots she comes across?

@BigOrangeMojo - one of my kids looked long and hard at Rice for college, and finally took it off the list after fully grasping the misery of Houston weather. I was sad, as it seems the closest thing to Hogwarts in US education.

She earned a basketball scholarship there, had heart condition diagnosed before she got to play a D1 game.

Well damn, I’m sorry that she medicaled out, but not at all surprised that she was a scholarship athlete.

What did she get her degree in? Feel free to tell me to MYOB.

She wanted to play at TCU but NCAA balked at that (she lived her final 2 years of HS with her English teacher/teachers husband, who was a huge TCU booster). If you ever wonder why the Tuohys legally adopted Michael Oher, she is one of the reasons for that. Under the same logic, Oher wouldn't have been allowed to go to Ole Miss otherwise without a hardship waiver.

Finance Degree

And to make the circle go a full 360, I actually applied to be a volunteer assistant at Briarcrest (for the free day care) during Oher's senior year.

post up a HS pic of her in uniform if you got one - hate to know it was all cut short because of the heart issue but it reminds me of Hank Gathers

Reggie Lewis as well (she had her initial spell 4 years to the date of his death). An expected cause was prenatal drug use (one reason why her and her mom don't get along very well).

I'll take a look and see if there are HS basketball pics accessible. Really the only pics in the house from HS are of her in prom dresses. I don't think she really liked to play dress up then.

She's probably about 95% now. She's working, back on her exercise regimen.

She had her deposition for her wreck Tuesday. Their attorneys tried to be aggressive with her and ask outlandish questions but our attorney said she nailed the depo (between us, SF actually put something resembling a fair offer on the table after the depo)
