From a colon cancer perspective this is so wrong. You won't know it until it is too late. It doesn't hurt and preps are getting easier. He actually started asking at 45 , I've politely told him no, that I know my body, if something is wrong I'd call. He agreed he'd leave me alone if I done this, so thankfully he'll leave me alone for a while
Because something about the medical board sumpinnuther agreed that they should start at 45. Just a way to get more money probably?
Daughter #1/ Kid #2 had a friend who died from colon cancer. In college. Age 21.From a colon cancer perspective this is so wrong. You won't know it until it is too late. It doesn't hurt and preps are getting easier.
Runs in my family. Grandfather died from it. I get scoped religiously.Daughter #1/ Kid #2 had a friend who died from colon cancer. In college. Age 21.
Obviously, cases like these aren't gonna be caught by regular screening, but CC tends to run in families, and getting early screenings can alert others as to possible risks.
I have adenomatous polyps (not the "good kind"), and everything is ok so far, but we keep checking (ugh), and since my ex's (their dad's) family has a history of CC, my kids are now on early screening. One has already had an early warning finding. At 20.
I've been knocked out enough that I prefer the Michael Jackson drugs. I wake up quick with no side effects. GVG will sleep all day if you let her.I do miss the good drugs that they used to give (Versed + fentanyl -- wheeee!!!), but the propofol does seem to be the better way to go.
But the Versed - wheeee!
I never got the sleepies. I'm just happy not to be chugging the Gatorade.I've been knocked out enough that I prefer the Michael Jackson drugs. I wake up quick with no side effects. GVG will sleep all day if you let her.
Everybody’s pizza. Alas, they’re closed. Just a memory, now. Went to a Jewish deli last time. Had scrambled eggs with lox and onions and rye toast.I never got the sleepies. I'm just happy not to be chugging the Gatorade.
My post-colonoscopy side effects were a craving to go home via Taco Bell.
And I never, ever, want to go to Taco Bell. I go there maybe once every five years? Ten years? But there you are. crunch crunch
Yeah, better to be safe if it runs in the family.Daughter #1/ Kid #2 had a friend who died from colon cancer. In college. Age 21.
