Things I'm happy about today

Oldest texted us. Her and the "boyfriend" are getting deployed (I mentioned elsewhere), and will be gone most of next year, which will push the wedding back. They're going to go to the courthouse out there and get married, then have a ceremony after they get back in early 2024. Just happy, we've wanted them to, and I was worried about Tiffany (hate saying that) being able to see her married.

Congrats.

It helps that you’re not an obnoxious, sniveling suck-up like tdawgs. So to speak.

After our tour the guy told us to wait to talk to my daughter's admission counselor. She came in and asked her if she had seen her offer in the email. She hadn't, but they have extended an offer for her to interview for the pre med program based off her grades, and her SA she did on her application. She said she doesn't have to, and has until the end of January to decide, but it would offer more scholarships. Even if she doesn't, she gave her information to apply for additional school scholarships based off her grades. She said it's possible to get up to 95% of her whole tuition covered. Very impressive school to me, mostly with all the resources they offer to help students stay on track for what they're pursuing. She told her she'd help her get an on campus job, because my daughter asked about working, where it'd be no issue working some around her schedule.

Awesome!! If she does pre-med, she will have to deal with old people, like myself.

That admission counselor seemed to really be impressed with her, and take a liking to her, it made me proud. Might've helped that we talked about my oldest being in the Air Force, and so is her dad🤣. She's thinking about it, so we'll see.
