Work for county gov. We have been short of workers since first of October. I have been helping out on the weekends.

I was also very pizzed to be deemed an essential worker when the Congresscritters conducted their frequent budget wars. I wanted to be home when others were.

It has to be approved. I was in that Special “you’re essential but if you need more than 40 hours/week to get your job done, just roll it over to next week.” AKA Not That Essential.

(Overtime wasn’t related to gummint shutdowns, with the designation as essential. I’m just always fascinated by the ironies between job classifications versus actual expectations.)

I'm happy about having another Thanksgiving with my 92 year old grandmother. So thankful she still has her health and mind. She's all Vol too as a 1954 graduate. She still watches every time a UT plays on TV.

Had one of these needle machines down all day, everyone got frustrated and quit working on it. It's running now and making good needles, wanna guess who fixed it . Yeah, humble brag, but it did make me feel good that 2 other guys who've been here for years walked off mad, and I went to it. Took a little while, but I got it going!
