Things I'm happy about today

ain't heard that word in a spell

so now today I was in your neck of the woods....decided to go to the Texas Roadhouse in JC....traffic backed up on 26 goin from Kingsport to JC....between Gray and BC exits....you know the deal....so wife's saying maybe we should think about taking the Boone's Creek exit and I'm cringing admitting that we might have to....turns out (surreal) dey was an armored vehicle from the Carter County Sheriff's Department that runned outta gas smack in the middle of the Interstate....right past that last curve before the BC exit....when we drove by, dey was pourin fuel in it right there in the left lane....no chit

Edit: and of course Carter County's on the other side of JC....guess it was headed home ????
Hey don't take a wrong turn and go up Buck Mountain road....that is where the Buck Mountain boys were arrested in the 70's. Sheriff Papantonio announced when he was going up Buck
Mountain to arrest the Buck Mountain boys, but then sent his deputy and they ambushed his car. Anyway just a little bit of trivia there.

They've changed the bereavement policy here. It was 5 days, they moved it to 30. They also added a caregiver thing. You get 10 days a year paid if your spouse, kids, parents, etc are in the hospital, or at home under Drs care. Pretty cool

Such a humane thing to do. And it ought to attract and keep great employees. The caregiver thing sounds like it could be useful for you. I refuse to think about the other.

Joe, will you use all 30 days when we beat your Dawgs this year?

Same, and I agree about the caregiver thing. That'll likely come in handy for me. I hope not, but you know what I mean.

Got the loop recorder out. Took for freaking ever but that damn thang is gone.

I know some of you have them. As soon as they die, take them out. I waited 4 years, was not smart.

A heart rhythm monitor? Good for you. No point in keeping foreign bodies inside you any longer than necessary.
