Things I'm happy about today

Granddaughter is visiting until Wed afternoon. She has come out two times and said the word that begins with F and ends with K.
I asked here why she was saying that word.
Her answer: Because saying "firetruck" is better than saying that other word that begins with F and ends with K
I like this. I’m adding it to the repertoire. 1690855182437.gif

Great news from my Dr, basically! Gonna always have the nerve pain, but he said my ligaments and muscles were in excellent condition. He said there are some cysts from the injury, and that's probably causing some of the pain. He said I basically had the knee of a 20 year old, because of working out. You're going to have issues like nerves and cysts from that type of injury, but I've done a great job of keeping it in shape. I was legit worried something bad was torn or something, so I'm happy!

glad to see online instructors doing this
ngaftwit but the books for college has been a cereal money racket for a long ass time
This one’s an in-person class, but yes, I totally agree! Three of my four instructors in spring semester said, “you can get the textbook (mostly e-texts these days) if you want, and maybe the photos and diagrams will be additional help, but the tests etc come from lecture notes, not the books.”

All my class lectures now are generated from what the professor wants us to know, not merely regurgitating the book. Completely different from the days when I rode my brontosaurus to class.
