Well, Texas administrations refused to adhere to national standards, therefore most of Texas is served by an electric grid that isn’t hardened. The “cost savings” wound up in the pockets of the few, and customers are beset with failures of the substandard grid. Even Texas’ appreciable wind generation capacity is substandard. The administration of Texas infrastructure is political favoritism higgldey piggledy. Texans are screwed. I’d be interested in a headcount of Sheep Molesters and Steers who sponsored/voted for/lobbied for this fracked situation. I suspect it will skew towards TAMU.The power grid in Texas is an absolute travesty. As a country, our infrastructure is crumbling.

My morning commute to campus has me dancing that dance with the tourists. I get on I-240/I-26 from the in-town Brevard Road exit (this being Asheville, there are two different Brevard Road exits, of course), work my way up the road to the Patton Ave Bridge of Death, cut over four lanes to the left-most exit-only lane, and head up now-just-I-26 to the UNCA exit.despite the I-26 stretch going from Asheville to the Tri Cities being finished over 30 years ago, Asheville is adamant about keeping it next to impossible to actually stay on I-26 coming from the south…

At least in SC, it’s northwest/southeast. But NC and the tiny portion in Tennessee is definitely North/South.My morning commute to campus has me dancing that dance with the tourists. Along the way, I get to nurse my rage that I-26 is considered an East-West interstate (even numbered), when it’s patently North-South.
By the time I park on campus, my brain is quivering with energy and ready to once again take on my old enemy, the nitrogen cycle.
And actually, NCDOT and the Feds are getting ready to address this and are buying up residential and commercial properties for the next endless round of road-building. This one isn’t AVL’s fault.
- No one shoots at me though. We do have that going for us.

btw, the library incident didn’t happen that way. Inflammatory reporting, some flat-out lies. The police were called, responded immediately. And I will say no more, because this doesn’t belong here, and I’m not getting into politics.
Is there some reason that you felt obliged to drag this **** in here? Thanks a lot.
SNF - I wont at him so hope he doesnt see Rustys post

Forgive me, please.
