Things I'm mad about today

I don't know. I assumed this was recently, maybe it was towed awhile ago and he's just now finding out?
I just got notified today. I didn't ask how long they have had the car. It is probably worth $1700 if it didn't crap out on him. It would cost me the $600+ tow and impound bill, $40 per day storage, gas to and from, $125 to get a new key made, the state of KY would want back taxes paid to get it titled again so I could sell it. It ran pretty darn good when we gave it to him over 2 years ago. And he still has not gotten it titled in his name so he has been driving on expired tags for a long time. I would rather it get auctioned than him get it back at this point. He has shown he is just not gonna do the right thing. He doesn't care, the car has cost him nothing.

Hopefully he comes to a place where he appreciates things, and mostly you all.

I pray for all of my kids every day. I doesn't seem to be reaching the oldest 4. It is to a point where only God can reach them. I will not fund their stupidity and their overall lack of gratitude. If he had gotten the car titled and was doing his best and this happened, I would send the money. He just doesn't care. He has nothing invested in it so leaving it on the side of the road was no big deal. Maybe he intended to go back for it. The tow company said the hazards were on when they picked it up. He has not contacted me about it. There are like 10 towing companies in Marietta, he could have found the car and taken care of it if it was important to him.

First law of economics, “something is only worth to you what it costs you”

Sometimes telling them "This is the last of the money. You're on your own" will wake them up. Might be some consequences, but that's life.
Had one that over excelled and one that never woke up.

damn sorry you are going through that. First thing we did when our oldest graduated college, got their own insurance and put the car title in her name. We were sick of dealing with it. Got one left on car insurance and counting down the days.
