Things you won't see in this year's tournament..

How many of you like Michigan St.'s chances to get to the Sweet 16? They are in a 5-12 game first off, then I don't think they can beat Maryland even if they get to the second round.

I also have them losing to Maryland, They have a super star college player as a Senior leader. There team is set up perfectly to compliment Vasquez. I think they could give Kansas a run for there money.

Well hell, I think they if they get past Kansas, they can take care of whoever they were to play in the regional final fairly easy. (Except for the VOLS we would open up a can on there ass) :D

I just don't see them losing to Houston, I mean I can see where you are coming from Coleman is the leading scorer in the NCAA right? If he gets hot watch out and there are some other good players on there team, but I just don't see it. Much like most people don't think Maryland is capable of a final 4 like I do.

1) Winner of the play-in game cutting down the nets.
2) North Carolina.
3) A 5-12 upset.
4) A double overtime game.
5) An SEC team in the Final Four.
6) An SECW team.
7) A team below a 4 seed in the Final Four.
8) Ted Kennedy, Saddam Hussein, or Peter Graves in the stands.
9) A good team free throw shooting percentage.
10) A winner other than either a team from the Big East or Kansas.

Its awfully early in the tournament to start being wrong about things.

And now we have our 5-12 upset. Should I start looking for some dead people in the stands? (Hussein, Kennedy?)

I hope all the predictions made don't become opposites. Unless the opposite of Kansas-Kentucky for the NC is Tennessee-Wake. I could live with that.

My only consolation in being so wrong about so many things in the tourney is that I am hardly alone.

I wouldn't overlook Ohio. Georgetown is a team that lost at Rutgers and lost to Old Dominion. They are schizo. In addition, Ohio has the kind of elements that can be successful in the Dance. First, guard play -- they have Armon Bassett, who started 2 years at Indiana, leading them. Second, they have experience. Not only Bassett, but they have a Senior in the middle who has played a lot of basketball and he happens to be 6'10 250. He may not score a bunch, but having that size will help against Monroe. Their PF is 6'8 263 and their SF is 6'5. So they aren't going to have a size issue with Georgetown. They also go 8 deep. Their biggest issue is that they have only the 2 starting guards. Bassett plays just about every minute for them. OTOH, Georgetown is very similar in that regard. They played only 7 guys in the Big East championship game and only 3 were guards, which means that Chris Wright and Austin Freeman played 40 and 39 minutes respectively.

I'd watch-out for the Gtown/Ohio game

Wise indeed.
