I agree. The gray-on-gray look is tastefully done, but I would prefer orange pants as a more dramatic contrast to the uniform combination worn for the Georgia game.

is there something wrong with the Orange and White ? the color of the Mighty Vols for many a year ? are the Vols down to using different colored uniforms like the Ducks ? to me,it is a sad thing to see this,

it has all ways been Orange and White and hopefully it will stay the same,but it seems that CBJ and company doesn't git it,there are thousands of way for them to use Orange and White on there uniforms ,so they think it is Okie Doakie to abandon there colors ? not to me

at least get something close to Orange and White so Neyland doesn't look like the opposing teams home field

Hmm... "governmentmule"... something tells me you're a Republican. The fact is, although we haven't worn 'smokey gray' in the past, it is still an official school color and a legitimate uniform, which also happens to provide the multifunction role of motivating players/fans, intimidating opponents, and alleviating the monotony of orange and white.

The Smokey Gray uni's are for one thing and one thing only the players. They are not to make the fans happy. They are to make the players happy. I am not saying that Butch doesn't care about the fans. He has made huge strides as the HC to get more fans involved. Although at the end of the day he wants his players to be happy and give their all for UT. You can beat your chest and talk about how much tradition UT has and is one of the winningest programs in history. Although in reality we have fallen to be a bottom of the barrell program. You have to get the kids excited to be here.

Not the first year our Vols have worn grey uni's. I understand tradition. But you cannot possibly put our grey unis in the same boat as Oregon, or Maryland, or those awful VT helmets, or half of the other teams going color way crazy.

I think the key to keep tradition in to add a little as the years pass. Or else we would be wearing pants up around our nipples and wearing curly white wigs. I much prefer our "new" traditional business professional attire. Don't you?

I agree with u here man. No matter what ur political views r.

I found it hard watching the Vols play uga because it didn't seem like I was watching the Big Orange play. Sounds odd but it was odd watching that game.

A team like Oregon doesn't have tradtion so they created one. We don't need to do this. If CBJ needs to do this to motivate the players then we need to concern ourselves if he's a good enough coach imo. What if we lose the game?? R all the supporters of it going to want them back or think it was a good idea?? Can't stand how we let a group of players decide that what decades of Vols were proud of wearing isn't good enough for them. This plus the stupid Beat Vandy Bonfire shows how low UT has sunk and how low the fanbase has too.

I never fell for the CBJ gets it and respects our traditions bs when he got hired. Stuff like this imo doesnt prove he gets jack.
