This is Dooley's fault

Are you drunk or just retarded?

He is actually right. No way in he** you give a freshman his FIRST start on the road at Fla. Absolutely retarded on his part.

To bad we don't play at LSU where he could start Ferguson or Dobbs. There is no reasoning on why anyone would do that.

I like the staff, but some of the decisions have made me shake my head. They left Peterman in too long, and I absolutely hate this offensive style.

agree that he should gave Peterman the hook earlier. I think the style of offense is one of our few choices. If you have a QB that cannot complete a basic pass from the shot gun on a favorable down and distance ...he cant do it for sure from under center . The run gaps are going to be clogged regardless of what scheme we are running if we can complete passes

Not at you, but it just seems for the past few years, too many people want to put it on the players and not the coaches.

Really? The talent was there last year to win at least 8 games. CBJ is in a tough spot because we lost alot if skill players. Last year was the year and DD blew it. To put this all on coaching after 4 games is ridiculous. I won't lose faith into team but I am slowly losing it with fellow fans.

He left us with crap, and it shows on the field. Butch is not a bad coach, but he can't work miracles.
Damn that Dooley. He had this thing planned when he "left" us bad players.

Just for clarification, what other losing coach has been fired but "left" a good team?

thats because we have some gaping holes in talent right now , namely at the QB position.

If we can complete basic passes we are all around a different team .

If was so easy for a good coach to turn a bad qb into a good qb ..then every team in CFB and the NFL would have a a great QB. Maybe Butch and crew should hit the x button rapidly during the off season conditioning ...you must be consistent in the off season when in dynasty mode..it is the only way

We can only judge the coach for the qualities that he has. We can't judge him for the results at this point.

I think he had all the qualities of a winning coach. I'd be lying if I didn't point out the one uncertainty that I have and that's the offensive scheme. I'm just not sold on the zone read and the spread running game as it is currently employed.

your stupidity is unbelievable. i wonder if stanford will have to deal with ignorant fans like this when their program weakens? follow more than 2 years of UT football before you talk about our history dumbass

Exactly what was incorrect about his post oh great history major?

Idiotic comment IMO. Butch has plenty of talent. He made the mistake of putting Peterman for that long. Had nothing to do with talent IMO.

UT has lost to two top 20 teams. Quit ****ting your pants guys.

I hope they turn it around. I really do. But if you can't see coaching blunders, poor technique/discipline, poor schemes, and poor play calling in what has happened the past two weeks... you are simply deluding yourself.

If the announcers didn't keep mentioning Jones now and again... I might have forgotten what year it was.

For all Fulmer's faults he would have won today. He would not have gotten cute with the stupid read option or letting the OL stand still on a play or starting a freshman QB at Florida when a vet had started a week before at Oregon or kept letting the freshman throw the ball.

This staff stinks absolutely terrible. An average staff wins this game

Yeah buddy, Ole Phil owned FL. How many times did he beat them in his illustrious career? My count is 4.

You guys can ***** all you want. We are still suffering from 3rd and Chavis. FL ate our lunch on 3rd and long today as they have FOREVER. Until we can get the D off the field, we won't win much.

If he started Worley and we lost (which we would) you'd be the first guy claiming we would have won if Peterman started.

How do you know UT would have lost? It is unlikely that the two biggest plays for UF in the 1st half happen if Worley is in.

I understand why Jones tried. I respect his courage to do it... but he still lives and dies by those kinds of decisions. He's the guy that watches practice. He's the guy making the big bucks.

Uh no he was beating the teams we lose to now, cause he got all the great players And left them the left overs... That is Part of college coaching too

Yeah, because Vandy, South Carolina, Georgia, etc now were the Vandy, South Carolina, Georgia etc of old, right? The only thing that is the same is the name.

no, fans like you have. Thanks for adding fuel to the fire though.

No. I have done many things in my life but I had nothing to do with putting up with Sanders' incompetence FOR YEARS. I had nothing to do with the poor discipline that resulted in many talented players never contributing at UT. I had nothing to do with his arrogance in refusing to change with the game. I had nothing to do with his decline in recruiting in the latter years.

You can go back and look for yourself but Fulmer's OL and DL recruiting for his last 3 or 4 years was nothing short of horrible. If you want to find the biggest root cause for the problems... that's probably it.

we do not have a qb that can complete a basic pass or pose a down field threat on a consistent basis. The QB position is the pivot point of team talent . He does his job , the running game looks better as does the defense.

We have no depth anywhere on the field. Asking 300 ish lb men to play 70 snaps almost never works out , especially down the course of a season. Your 3 deep is part of the talent pool. Factor this in with a QB who cannot sustain drives and puts them on the field longer than they need to be with no depth.

Our receiving core is composed of freshmen , walk-ons, and a couple of guys that were running back less than 1 year ago.

Our secondary has one really good player , a bunch of freshmen and some walk-ons. No depth at all . Depth again is part of the talent pool. 70 plays a game is equal to 70 sprints plus contact. Gotta have depth to execute down the stretch

LBs and interior tackles. LBs were recruited to play 3-4. They are too big for the 43 they are now running. The interior linemen were recruited for the 3-4 ..and now they are asked to generate pressure as oppossed to just clog gaps. 2 freshmen as depth . A good team is gonna have 8.

'plenty of talent'...really ?
