Some of you need to give the new coach a chance. He hasn't been hired yet and you are calling sub 500 seasons already. No TN isn't LSU, GA, or BAMA so yes it's hard to recruit here that is why we have the highest recruiting budget here. Guys accept the fact that we aren't hiring anyone with SEC experience any HC with SEC head coaching experience is in the SEC. Unless you all want a Kirby Smart be patient. Every person that has bashed Strong, Gundy, Fedora etc non have provided a name of a respectable coach who they would prefer. Some of you just want to complain and trash the program. I am starting to think you care nothing about the program.

Prior to LSU-saban no sec experience, prior to lsu-miles no sec experience, prior to georgia-richt no sec experience, prior to florida(except for playing there) spurrier no sec experience. Not sure when sec experience became a requirement.

If you can coach you can coach that's that. Ask James Franklin how that's going. The guy, as much as I hate him, can coach. So as long as UT hires a guy that can coach and recruit then I will support him.

This is just the culture of our fanbase. Too many people wanting an instant turnaround, and it's just not gonna happen like that. Gotta be patient.

I go to Louisville. I like Charlie Strong. But I don't want Charlie Strong. Nice guy. I don't think he can do the sec. I hope I'm wrong but idk.

Sounds like getting it done to me.

Any thoughts on Pat Fitzgerald at Northwestern? That school is to the Big 10 (or what used to be the Big 10) what Vandy is to the SEC. But Fitzgerald has a solid record there, 9-3 this year and a trip to the Gator Bowl.

I don't get all of this Franklin hate. He's a good coach and he can recruit. Everything he's done has been in the defense of the program he works for and I've yet to see him break any major rules. If this guy can win at Tennessee, you'd be a moron to not hire him because you "didn't like him."

Me either. What has Franklin done that was so bad? Out recruit UT? Out coach UT?
