Don't you think some of the problems started when the NCAA stop letting the schools have dorms just for team members(of all sports). When these were allowed years ago they had a dorm director that was part of the coaching staff and the kids had curfews. Maybe that's harsh, but parents would probably appreciate it instead of their child getting in trouble and maybe throwing away a very big career. Taking the restrictions away has pretty much tied the hands of the coaches. What can they do? If they are too harsh they could hurt the kid for life, but if too weak they catch a lot of flack from other schools. I remember when Gene Stallings gave David Palmer another chance, and he even messed that up, and Stallings gave him one more............Palmer straightened himself out, and ended up with a great career.
