I can't disagree with you....I said 90% of the time....I hope they beat the s*** out of the Gators.....then the Vols go undefeated this year......back to the If's and But's

Talent and physical attributes do play a lot into a teams performance. I think good coaching is just as important. A big part of the reason these kids coming out of high school are rated so high is due to both factors or these 4.3 40 CBs would be 5*s. the players have to know how to use their tools. Not much separates some of these 3 and 4* recruits. Hopefully, this new coaching staff is what we were lacking these past years, coaches who can develop players. Good coaches can make a world of difference regardless of the conference.

Another good example is Boise vs Georgia or Appy State vs Michigan. The list goes on of coaching staffs who are able to adequately develop players and even have them overachieve. Will CBJ be our next Gen. Neyland? No one knows anything about how his tenure at UT will turn out right now. One thing that is certain is that he has coached teams who have done well in their respective conferences with similar talent. Now he has moved up to a better team with better talent in a better conference. I know I expect to see well coached teams that are competitive with our opponents. When the dust settles I expect CBJ to beat ranked teams and pull some upsets, unlike his predecessor. I think that is paramount for any coach who wishes to stay employed.

I predict that Jones will win the Orange & White Game!

But, other than that nothing on his resume says he is ready for this job. I guess taking over for Kelly twice can make you look really good, but doesn't prove anything to me. (I don't even like Kelly that much, but he does surprise me every sat.)
Kiffin was a joke and I see him eventually proving to everyone he is a loser. And Dooley was just a hope & a prayer from Hamilton. (given what he walked into he did a good job)
Jones has more experience than our last two, but sorry Cinncy does not impress. Our team is in a decent position right now, the pantry ain't empty. But it will still be tough, 2yrs. from now I will have an opinion of him. But right now, he is just the next guy.
