Bad calls don’t mean anything. We can not consistently score. We lose to a terrible team after playing one of the best teams great. We will take this off year and hope this new class that is top ten will produce next year. Go vols.

We don't deserve to win this game. The difference in the team we saw tonight and the team we saw Saturday is like Globetrotters to Generals.

Yeah we’re putting most of our hope of a really good year next year on a bunch of incoming freshman.. that usually works out so well:)

I got blasted last week for saying this team is hard to watch ....but I’m right.

I am kinda questioning the play calling to. Like last week it seemed we go inside to pons and fulky. This game we throw up bombs.

I hate losing. There are good players on our team (Love Vescovi and Fulkey always plays hard) but often can't play in synch the way they should be.

Seriously. Anybody who says this team ISN'T hard to watch need only review film from the past two games.
I agree, when we got a block and josiah james got the ball on the fast break and had two wide open people down the court and fulkerson came up behind him and hit the balls out of his hands leading to TA&M getting an and-1 and JJJ 3rd foul made me want to pull my hair out.

I thought we were coming around, but tonight I'm extremely disappointed in the team. There's no excuse for this performance.

I missed the game somehow but it doesn't appear I missed anything worth watching. I said over the weekend the Kansas game was probably fools good. Two players suspended then the one big man owned us when he was in the game. When he was out Kansas didn't have a player over 6'6". I also mentioned not to pencil us in for wins against a bad stretch of Ole Miss, Vandy and Texas A&M. This was a bad loss but we've seen enough of this team to know it's average at best.

Probably not, but they sure worked a lot harder than us on the boards and managed to stay in a game where they shot the ball poorly on the road in a place where we recently went two calendar years without losing.
That seems like a distant memory now:) people come in and rape us on our own floor with regularity and ease now it seems. Oh well.

They played pretty bad defense as we had great shots all game and shot like 50%, especially if you cut the desperation at the end of the game. Their best offense was to get blocked and have the ball go to a guy in the post. But yeah, they rebounded extremely well.

Dang I wish anyone other than Fulk cared about trying to box out because this should have been squeaked out even with all refs against us

I dont even know if it should have been close if we just hit the shots we missed at the rim. Bowden missed an easy one, and Fulk missed a layup on three straight trips. Those are just the ones I can remember. Bowden, an 80% FT shooter, misses 3 of 4 FTs at one point. We are seemingly athletic enough to collect 8 blocks in a game, but get outrebounded by 25 total and give up 19 ORebs.

Just an embarrassing performance to follow up a good effort against Kansas that suggested we might be hitting our stride.

Defensive rebounding has never been a strong suit under Barnes. We play great defense on the ball and I think it comes at some cost to positioning for defensive boards. But 4 offensive rebounds!? This is probably the worst offensive rebounding Tennessee team of my lifetime

A&M played great defense forcing us into many tough shots as the clock was winding down

Ya. It’s shocking how few players can actually score the ball. And I’m not trying to be hateful but how in the hell was james a 5 star? I’m not sure what he does well (except rebound). He doesn’t finish at the rim very much. And he doesn’t have a very smooth looking stroke when he pulls up.
Look you can make it with a couple of guys like pons that hustle and do a lot. But you have to have a few guys on the floor at all time that either take it to the hoop and finish or guys that call pull up and shoot.

Well, we led the SEC in defensive rebounding last year. I think it just hurts that we lost so much talent and didn't replace it with enough guys ready to play immediately.

4 ORebs is pathetic though. The percentages look even worse. We rebounded 16% (4 of 24) of our own misses. A&M rebounded 59% (23 or 39) of their misses. That is a sobering stat that reflects poor effort, IMO.
