Today's public has been entertained to the point that it takes more and more to actually excite them.....movies and tv have become more vulgar and shocking and a mere basketball game might seem mild in comparision.But there is a segment that take great pride in our country's and our community's great accomplishments and it makes something burst out with pride and joy. A college basketball game has facets that some either do not understand or merely want to bear witness to and not become an active part of the event,with the possibly of swaying momentum one way or the other by being vocal in exciting the players.This is often found in other facets of life.Sometimes these same type of folks show their apathy towards voting .If they do not get too excited they can say in that so often heard negative tone if they were to lose ...thats what I thought would happen.That way they can hedge there bets.If they win they are on the bandwagon...if they lose they can jump off.AND YOU CAN BET THE NEXT DAY THEY ARE THE ONES AT THE WATER COOLER,TALKING NEGATIVE ABOUT HEADBANDS AND TATTOOS AND HOW THE VOLS ARE A ROGUE GANGSTA ELIMENT!!

Yeah he hit some threes, that was it. The majority of his points were from the free throw line off of weak fouls might I add. No big deal, he can have his points, I'll take the W.

I don't think the size of the student section is important iyts the location. People love to talk about Duke, but their fans are right on top of the court. I said back when BP was tinkering with students that they should occupy the 1st 3 rows on both sides of the court and behind the backboard. Its hard to get these kids to the games like the Duke kids.

The kid hit meaningless freethrows when the game was out of hand. Chism shot about 65% from the floor. Slight difference. I think Downey is a great player; he just did not have a good night against us.
