Thoughts on Kentucky

so who from this team will not be a Cat next year? how many of your freshmen and sophomores will be leaving early?

Poythress coming back would be nice. But I don't see him getting the playing time he needs to show nba people he's improved a lot. Especially if Cauley-Stein comes back and we get Randle (which probably wont happen with his FSU ties).

I can envision Noel actually coming back, but I wouldn't want it for the kid. He needs to get paid now.

Goodwin will probably go, if there's a chance.

Poythress stays, IMO.

Cauley Stein is a big unknown. I think that he does the opposite of whatever happens with Noel. He stands to gain a lot over the next 7-8 games.

Wiltjer either goes to play in Europe or comes back for a Jr. year.

Randle, Wiggins, and Gordon. Kentucky still in on all three?

I could see Wiltjer becoming the veteran over the next 1-2 seasons that past Cal/UK teams have had, and this team lacks.

.

Willie just made some big bucks for next year with 20 points and 3 blocks tonight against Vandy.

I personally would have UK in right now, pending this Saturday's result.

Definitely pending. Every game is must win from here out. If they win every game except UF they are in, but any more bad losses and it's NIT, baby.

Losing to Mizzou and UF and winning the rest would still mean 12-6 in the SEC and some more road wins. It wouldn't be pretty, but if they do that and tack on an SECT win, I think they should be safely in.

That said, I don't think 12-6 will happen.

We basically have the same situation as UT. UT might have a little more pressure to upset UF, but imo both teams make it if they do what you posted.
