So what do you guys think? He leaves Tennessee and Dooley and heads to Tallahassee where he wins a NC his first year there. Was his struggle in Tennessee due to the 3-4 switch or something else?

He's a position coach so he really didn't do anything extra Fsu was gonna win regardless. His attitude and lack of effort at Tennessee was the problem.

Terrible DC. He may be a good position coach, but I don't care if he wins 5 more rings at FSU I wouldn't let him run our defense for free.

Not to take anything away from Sunseri, but I think anyone here could be a position coach on that defense and be successful.

Seriously, I was impressed by the talent level of that FSU D.

Jimbo has built a great team. I expect to see them in the title mix more often.

A lot of people who are great tacticians make poor strategists. Sal is a good position coach, like Randy Sanders is a good QB coach - but it doesnt mean that he is good at coordinating the whole D (like Sanders was not at OC).

Same thing with great DC and OC coaches not necessarily making great head coaches. But just because someone is not a great HC, doesnt mean that there isn't equal honor in being great in the area you do excel. So nothing against Sal but that he isnt a DC.

whichever coach made the call to get upfield and disrupt rather than sit back, read, react and get on their heels like everybody else who played Auburn deserves credit. Helps with DT's like Jernigan and DE's that get upfield fast rather than getting caved in with ease, but the scheme to disrupt was a good one.

I bet if Sal somehow worked "VFL" into an interview all will be forgiven since uttering those 3 letters to anyone in the media apparently scores HUGE points with VN.
