This is a post that truly aged well.

Let's check back after four more seasons to see if we have surpassed Texas, South Carolina, LSU, and potentially a couple of others to see if we have won the championship that White set as the standard.

Keep in mind that we had incredible Providence re: injuries & illnesses this year. That may be partially a result of load management as a benefit of the platooning, but we all know how easy it is to lose a star player to freak injury or just cumulative wear and tear. We also had an overall favorable schedule re: most of our toughest games being played at home (including Conn).

Caldwell gets a lot of credit for fielding a competitive team in her second D-1 season. The eighth-place conference finish is offset a little by the addition of two top teams into the conference. Those two also helped offset a weak OOC schedule. Overall, a very successful season and good start

Good to see fans excited, but we've been there before. We'll know by the end of her third season if water continues to rise or has reached its level.

A response I made before the SEC schedule, what will she learn from introducing her offensive and defensive approach into a conference with superior athletes than teams she previously defeated. Played many top teams close, and defeated one. LSU -2, SC - 1, Tx 2 Conn 1, What adjustments will she and her staff make in year two will be a new measuring perspective, and the success of same re wins, and losses will be yet another measure of her success - smile

I guess you're blaming her for:

getting to the sweet sixteen
setting SEC record for 3's (previously Arkansas 314)
setting NCAA for 3's in a single game (30),
tying the program record for most 100+ points games in a season with the 1987-88 squad
signing the #2 HS recruiting class

it's OK. You can admit you were wrong about her.
I appreciate the level of pettiness required to go back a full year and re-quote a post. I can respect that. Just like I can respect the amazing season the ladies had this year. One heck of a run, and I can't wait to see what Kim does with these higher level recruits. The future of the program is bright and in good hands.
