Ticket Prices Are Dropping

Hope you didn't graduate from UT with any kind of math related degree.

If 100K tix were sold at $150 face value that's $15 million to the CFP committed

If 100K to were sold at $350 face value that's
$35 million to the CFP committed.

Remember, the schools basically get a flat fee for playing in these games. The ticket revenue (in terms of face value) goes direct to the CFP minus a small % for game prep, security etc.
What are you talking about? All tickets were sold by ohio state university in the first hour of them becoming public. The committee doesn't care what a ticket resales for on ticketmaster. Unless you were trying to post to someone else, your response makes no sense.

I think the OSU fans think this is an auto win and a lot are waiting to buy cheap seats or not go and save up for the Rose Bowl. Their craving for their re-match with Oregon that's all some of them are talking about, this game is an after thought they want pay back on the Ducks.
Then they’re really dumb if that’s their mindset. I find it hard to believe the majority are overlooking us though.

I think I understand your confusion. Everyone in the thread is talking about current available tickets and you are referring to OSU original sales.

Prices were originally set to be equal to the highest-priced home game from the previous two years, but after questions about donations and seat licenses, the CFP has set a flat set of ticket prices for every site. Tickets will cost between $100 and $250 for general seating, not including clubs and suites.- New York Times article.

Since they gave the university the ability to influence cost, no one can blame the greedy playoff system and the University doesn't want to be attacked by it's own fan base over increased tickets right before Christmas. For the benefit of the school, I think it was done right by OSU.

Exactly. Resales don’t impact cfp.
Face value was $160 for UT donors, and Ohio State charged less to their donors.

Makes me mad this game is the weekend before Christmas. Any other weekend and I would be on my way. It pains me to see tickets dropping in price every day. Hopefully more TN fans keep jumping on the opportunity.

Just think. Tennessee has never had the opportunity of playing in Ohio State's stadium and the stakes have never been higher. Please consider going if you have the means and availability to make it happen.

There are singles in the lower deck as low as $123 on Ticketmaster now. Pairs in the upper deck for as low as $135. Loge boxes, 2-8 together for $1100 each for folks who have the money and might need a break from the cold and wind during the game.

Anybody else having trouble adding their ticket to Apple wallet? I’d prefer not to rely on a cell tower to access my ticket when several thousand of my good friends will be taking a slice of that bandwidth as well.

I've read there is a massive amount of OSU fans in Knoxville. Don't live in the state. Could the takeover just be a bunch of OSU fans out of state?

I’ve had trouble getting mine to load in the TM app. I logged in on a web browser on my phone and then downloaded to Apple wallet from there.

Eh, not really; maybe make you forget you are sick for a minute, but not a long term solution. I posted the best remedy/preventative. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make a mule drink". Tm.
Was tic. I travel all the time and take Emergen-C pretty much daily, particularly this time of year. Might check out what you posted.

I have not talked to any Ohio State fan that thinks this is an auto win, you're only looking at the idiots posting on forums to troll. We all know this will not be easy, there is a lot of respect for Tennessee up here.

Sigh. Who said a word about resale???

I VERY clearly said FACE VALUE of the tickets.

This is a simple concept.

Would you rather someone give you $15 million or $35 million?

Well your concept is flawed.

you say osu gets preferential treatment at the same time saying the committee screwed themselves by not screwing us with a minimum of a 500 face value ticket.

If you think that this game would sell out in Neyland with a minimum face value of 500 per ticket you have lost your mind.

And now your 35 million price suggests an average face of 350 per ticket. So maybe if you had a consistent concept we could discuss it further.

Seriously. Get that supplement and you're good. No Zicam, EmergenC, Elderberry, yada yada, nothing else needed. It's the best Preventative. (And take 2 daily. ) If it prevents colds, flu, ect, by boosting your immune system, it also protects against other health issues. Everyone I have suggested it to now swears by it.
