Tied For Dead Last In Recruiting Rankings...

OP

No. It’s sucks but it should have been expected. I know you want to use this as a knock against JH and his staff just to have your moment. But do you ever remember, in the history of recruiting rankings, that UT has replaced the AD, ENTIRE recruiting department and the ENTIRE coaching staff and facing NCAA sanctions in the same year?
Pretty sure we have replaced most of the above multiple times in the last thirteen years; we haven't had sanctions to deal with, but we have had several wholesale coaching changes happen, and the last change before this one was accompanied by an AD change as well.

In June 2010, USC received major sanctions, and their NC-winning coach left for the NFL. The new coach was so horrifically handicapped that he only managed to pull the #3-rated class nationally.

It's not time to panic

1. Recruits are playing a wait and see for how team is coached during Spring and September games. Not to mention waiting to see what any ncaa punishments are.
2. New staff is probably evaluating who they want. Some recruits they knew from UCF but others (local, higher ranked than typical UCF recruits) they aren't familiar with.
3. Whole new staff, they are probably strategizing coaching approach, recruiting approach, type of athletes desired and learning extensively how to do things within the strict parameters of ncaa regs.
4. They are dealing with ncaa current probe, it takes bandwith from staff.
5. They are establishing relationships with current team, teaching playbook prior to Spring Training.
6. They are busy trying to hold on to current players.
7. Aren't we in a recruiting dead period? Won't new staff have to wait until like June to recruit actively?

They offered just about every QB in America after the lost Simpson and Horn, which means you’re wrong. Thanks for playing.

I can't believe recruits haven't just been flocking in here after the way we've ran this tight ship. I'm outraged and shocked w OP. Let's start firing someone asap.

Really don't blame the recruits.....id be in a standby situation also until I knew what the NCAA sanctions were AND I wanna see at least a representation of what the offense and defense are going to be this fall before I'd make a decision.......we're not exactly the prettiest girl at the dance right now.......honestly we're kind of the old lady chaperone at this point who thinks she's being funny and forces her nephew to dance one song with her and you're praying for the song to be over.
Why do I get the feeling you were the nephew?

When you don't have any commitments you're probably gonna be dead last, what did you expect? It's a long way to early signing period and to Feb 2022 so just relax because it will work itself out.

I’d like to think that there’s a strategy in play but the shotgun offer approach we’ve seen the past couple of weeks suggests that we’re just plain desperate. We’ll get commits eventually, just not the ones we need.
