It’s really bad timing for CJH. The state has arguably the best crop ever and we are not going to sign many of those. The fans will be questioning his ability. Hell, I give him credit for taking the job. No one else wanted it. He’s a good coach who will play a murderous schedule and have to deal with two decades of complete incompetence. That ultimately led to him having to follow a coach who looks like Forrest Gump and Carl Childers had a baby.

The in-state talent is going elsewhere. UT will have to find some decent players he can develop.

On a positive spin, the schedule is honestly cake compared to some other years. There is a reasonable path for 7-5 here. Will it happen? Who knows but it's not out of the realm. If it happens, with only this year as a bowl ban, boom you can sell momentum again. I think that could get us a top 20 class again. If he goes under .500 this year, that mountain gets real steep, real quick.

Yes, perhaps on name alone he MIGHT have one or two more. Ty Simpson was the big domino, he was headed to Bama. Other dude got butthurt he was second fiddle.

I’m quite sure we will get ours. This year is such an outlier. So many kids have zero film as juniors or very little. There will be kids breaking out everywhere that 24/7 has no idea friggin idea about. As long as you dont have such a hard-on for instate high school recruits we will wind up with a solid class that fits Heupel's system.
