Tiffany's Thread (updates and prayers, and a place where she can smack Joe in public when he needs it :)

I can't put much in Facebook because of the kids being at school, and I'm afraid they'll see it. She had so much infection in her kidneys that putting the tubes in (procedure went well), but it caused the infection to get stirred up. They said she was in septic shock, her oxygen bottomed out, heart rate, she's been shivering like I've never seen. She's hurting, crying, thus is awful, but idk what to do
Breathe. And breathe.

Praying, Joe; praying!

That infection, that's the problem. I know the bladder thing is risky, but what do you do, that's even her words. She can't keep living on antibiotics, they'll eventually quit. I mean just ended treatment last week, and had so much infection that putting the tubes in done this. They're doing tests, and giving meds, she's knocked out on pain meds currently, and still moaning and shivering. It's her fighting against sepsis they're saying. Idk if this will change any plans, but hopefully she'll get through this and they'll still do it. Something has to be done to stop the infection.

If you had any doubts about the transplant being the right move, this seems to squish that.

God always knows what to say...

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

I laid over her praying, like God I don't believe all this set up for her to die right here. That's what broke me earlier. She couldn't hardly talk, but she was shivering and crying and calling my name saying something was wrong, she was dying. Her BP was dropped, oxygen was at like 45 at that moment, it was the worst feeling I've ever had. It was just the infection running rampant doing that to her. They've got about 7-8 different bags hooked up, but started her on IV antibiotics, and that's when things started to settle a little bit. She's still pretty rough, but she's not crying, or shivering too much. They've done blood work, scans, and nurse just told me she'd likely be in ICU in a little while. Girls are here, so I let them go see her, only one at a time right now. I'm not gonna lie, I thought she was gonna leave for a little bit, it was rough. You all just keep praying for her, just gotta get her stable so they can use the tubes to start flushing that crap out of her kidneys.

Hugs to you and Tiffany. You two have remarkable faith.

Hang in there brother.

God bless you both. (I had a whole prayer typed out and VN ate it.)

Praying more. And I’m adding her to tomorrow’s prayer group meeting. 🙏🏻

Everyone is gone now, but my mom and aunt are are their way down to the house. They are moving her to ICU shortly, so I'll have to go home tonight. She's a bit more stable, especially her BP, and heart rate, and they said she should drastically improve over the next 24-48 hours. It's been rough, really scary, she's a little better, but still not really good by no means, yet. They've got her on the good antibiotics, so she should definitely keep getting better. I hate leaving her, but stinking policy, but I understand. Appreciate you guys for praying, just keep it up. If we can get her over this hump, and start that flush, I think everything will be good.

Continued prayers your way from the hills of east Tennessee, brother.

I hope you're able to rest some tonight Joe. Praying staff takes phenomenal care of Tiff and you can rest easy for a bit.

Promise us you’ll get some sleep!
I'll try. Two nurses, one's a Georgia fan, one Kentucky, so they both might knock me out 🤣. They saw my Tennessee jacket and made comments, so I told them I hope both teams lose Saturday! Actually the KY lady is from close to where I'm from, she knows my area well. They're doing really good with her, washed her off, making sure she's as comfortable as possible. I know what you meant though, I'm going to try, but may take a while. I've been good for the most part, lost it once when she was bad. It's when it's going to get quiet, and the lights are off that my mind will probably go wide open.
