and even in the midst of all her suffering and physical pain, she goes out of her way to bring sunshine to another person's lifeI'm a heathen, nowhere near perfect, but I do try to be a light as a Christian. I especially have tried on these trips, to use her story to talk to people, and share how goid God has been in our lives. I don't post about it, feel it's between me, the person, and God, but I've tried to do the same here. Not saying that to brag about me, but share that's who we are, and what I watched today. Tiffany isn't perfect, but she's better than me. She hasn't felt good, that's why we didn't try going to the pier like I wanted. She's been stressed, as much as I have, it's way more on her, rightfully so. I watched her start a conversation with a homeless man. She never said a word about why we were hear, her health, or that she didn't feel good. She just started talking about the area, her being from Georgia, asking him about his life, and tgen share God with him. I didn't say a wird, didn't interrupt, just let her be her. Watching the guy light up that some stranger was fully invested in him, about his life, it was amazing. Listening to him responding to her talking about God, seeing in his eyes that he knew she cared, that was special. It just amazes me, she had every right to only think of herself in that moment, and wanted nothing more than this man to know she cared, and God loved him. Idk, just got me in the feels, and made me so proud.
Praying for guidance and strength.Okay, I'll try to give a short version. There's 2 options for him to help her. The transplant, and a neobladder. There's a lot of risks with the transplant, mainly the immune suppression medication, and he saud she'd definitely lose her kidneys over it. He definitely wants to do a couple before her, because of how she is, so he could be more comfortable. Not that he doesn't want to give her a bladder, he said her well being is first. If she does that, it'd likely be within a year. The neobladder, they'd take her conduit (the hole/intestine) and make her a bladder. Both surgeries would seal up the hole, and he thinks that opening helps fuel the infections. There's risks with both, more with a transplant, so he definitely is for us having time to talk about it, and pray about it. Transplant would be her being here at least 3 months, the other surgery about 3 weeks total. He did say there's no way to guarantee anything, and that's why he wants us to wait, and let him do it a couple of times to see how he feels about doing her. Just gelp us pray about it.
He did mention that, but said the risks with her other issues were too much.Praying for guidance and strength.
Could she have both? The neobladder for now, reducing the infections, and then the transplant when he has had more experience, if he feels she would benefit? (That's a lot to deal with, I know.)
I can see that. It's wonderful that either option would help her get on top of these damned, endless infections. He did mention that, but said the risks with her other issues were too much.
Yeah, I told him I appreciate his honesty, and concerns.I can see that. It's wonderful that either option would help her get on top of these damned, endless infections.
He sounds like a wonderful surgeon, in that he's obviously placing her overall well-being before his drive to do a first-time-ever transplant.
Update.See, I knew there was a reason I asked about it.
I hated the Thompson Chain reference I had a couple of years ago but only because I didn't take time to learn how to use it. I'm going to get another one and learn to use it... I think I'd really like it.
Thanks.
Hubby bought me the Jeremiah Study Bible last year and I LOVE it. Currently doing The Bible Recap (we've got a class that meets during Sunday School at church). I wasn't consistent following the reading the first half of the year, I let a lot of stuff get in the way, but got my self in gear and now. I'm going to start it over and go through the OT testament like I should next year.Sweet, I hope you like it. I'm slowly breaking my new in, and the large print letters are helpful in this Bible.
I'll have to check that one out. I need to just go through my new one from the beginning, it'd help break it in.Hubby bought me the Jeremiah Study Bible last year and I LOVE it. I bet that's an interesting BibleI gave a friend of mine one of the Rainbow Bibles I had. He loves it. I collect Bibles just because, but I also use alot of them when studying. Sometimes just to get a different perspective and sometimes to keep me honest.
I have a Charles Spurgeon KJV commentary Bible that is probably my favorite to just read.
I wish I could comprehend the KJV easier. I get so distracted trying figure out what it's saying I totally lose being able to injest it, if that makes sense. I used NIV for a long time, but the one I have now is ESV. I like it a lot.I gave a friend of mine one of the Rainbow Bibles I had. He loves it.
