Tiffany's Thread (updates and prayers, and a place where she can smack Joe in public when he needs it :)

Went and walked around again while Tiffany rested. She's nit feeling freat, so I'd say do anything later is out. That's okay, just hate she can't enjoy it. Talked to several people, most very friendly. Kicked back in a recliner watching people now😅

Okay, I'll try to give a short version. There's 2 options for him to help her. The transplant, and a neobladder. There's a lot of risks with the transplant, mainly the immune suppression medication, and he saud she'd definitely lose her kidneys over it. He definitely wants to do a couple before her, because of how she is, so he could be more comfortable. Not that he doesn't want to give her a bladder, he said her well being is first. If she does that, it'd likely be within a year. The neobladder, they'd take her conduit (the hole/intestine) and make her a bladder. Both surgeries would seal up the hole, and he thinks that opening helps fuel the infections. There's risks with both, more with a transplant, so he definitely is for us having time to talk about it, and pray about it. Transplant would be her being here at least 3 months, the other surgery about 3 weeks total. He did say there's no way to guarantee anything, and that's why he wants us to wait, and let him do it a couple of times to see how he feels about doing her. Just gelp us pray about it.

I'm a heathen, nowhere near perfect, but I do try to be a light as a Christian. I especially have tried on these trips, to use her story to talk to people, and share how goid God has been in our lives. I don't post about it, feel it's between me, the person, and God, but I've tried to do the same here. Not saying that to brag about me, but share that's who we are, and what I watched today. Tiffany isn't perfect, but she's better than me. She hasn't felt good, that's why we didn't try going to the pier like I wanted. She's been stressed, as much as I have, it's way more on her, rightfully so. I watched her start a conversation with a homeless man. She never said a word about why we were hear, her health, or that she didn't feel good. She just started talking about the area, her being from Georgia, asking him about his life, and tgen share God with him. I didn't say a wird, didn't interrupt, just let her be her. Watching the guy light up that some stranger was fully invested in him, about his life, it was amazing. Listening to him responding to her talking about God, seeing in his eyes that he knew she cared, that was special. It just amazes me, she had every right to only think of herself in that moment, and wanted nothing more than this man to know she cared, and God loved him. Idk, just got me in the feels, and made me so proud.

Praying 🙏 for you all and the Dr to make the best decision that will work for Tiffany...
